tizzy Posted November 6, 2022 Report Posted November 6, 2022 Hi; I have just installed FSUIPC, correct Version for FSX. I have VAC software installed that allows me to talk to FSX ATC. This worked and always did when using just FSX. I have not been able to use it with FSUIPC installed. FSUIPC is programmed for FSX and works great. I just can't use My VAC software. VAC software is used for Voice Activated Commands. I build a profile for it for the aircraft I am flying called VAC builder. to communicate there is a VAC system where I turn it on for the profile and then Turn it on for the Profile Voice commands for FSX ATC. It does work but only if I have FSX only and use FSX assignment buttons for my Joystick(yoke) and throttles. Is there something I am missing with FSUIPC that I have not set that would allow the VAC software to work? Hope I explained this right and Thanks for any help. Pete
John Dowson Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 I don't know...this is probably more a question for the developers/support of the VAC software you are using. I do not know this software - do you have a link to where this is available? I can take a look (if you provide a link to the software you are using), but maybe also try asking this on the support forum for that software. John
tizzy Posted November 9, 2022 Author Report Posted November 9, 2022 I have downloaded the file for windows 10 but still no go. It works if I just use FSX and setup my buttons and axis in FSX. Using FSUIPC it will not work. I have removed all FSX command joystick keys and throttle quadrants and I have no joystick selected. Your FSUIPC works great for the buttons and axis for the Throttle including reverse thrust. FSUIPC will not recognize the voice commands for VAC for the FSX ATC menu. Am I doing something wrong. Do I have to somehow make FSUIPC recognized by VAC? Do I have to make a lua script? It's strange that with FSX only it works just fine for FSX ATC menu. I just have to say the number for what I need and it works. With FSUIPC it works if I press the keyboard numbers. If this VAC software does not work, do you know of any Voice software that does work. I know there are several that are out there but not sure if I would have the same issue. I would be thankful for any advise you can give. Pete
John Dowson Posted November 10, 2022 Report Posted November 10, 2022 As I said, I have no idea what this VAC software is or where this is from. and you have provided no further information on this so I cannot help you with this. I know some other FSUIPC users are using VoiceAttack with FSUIPC - you can search the FSUIPC forums for questions/solutions on using this software with FSUIPC. John
tizzy Posted November 10, 2022 Author Report Posted November 10, 2022 Thanks I will look into VoiceAttack. I believe many years ago you had questions on this VAC software but that was a long time ago. I think it might be possible to link it with my keyboard and that should work. It is old software but it works except for this little glitch. Mean time I will look into what you suggested. Thanks for the info. Have a safe day. Pete

My VAC script is probably simpler than yours, but I found that I had to run VAC as an administrator to get it to react to FSX in Windows 10. Otherwise it failed whether FSUIPC was installed or not.
