CodeHarry Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Hi, I'm using FSUIPC7 7.3.21, and PMDG 737-600/800 v3.0.70. All are up to date, as is MSFS2020. I'm not 100% certain on the terminology, but my issue is that when I want to bind buttons on my peripherals to FS controls via FSUIPC, the "PRESET:PMDG 737" controls such as lights, flaps, etc. are no longer listed in FSUIPC7. They were definitely listed a day or so ago before I updated FSUIPC. I'm not sure what version I had before, but it was causing some stuttering and was at least a year old. I've also tried launching the Fenix A320 in case it was a PMDG specific issue, but see no presets for that either. I've tried updating and restarting everything to no effect, disconnecting/reconnecting, restarting WASM, etc. Can you advise what I should try fix this? Also, something that's been very irritating in the past is that the dropdown box to select the FS control to generate is much narrower than many of the names, so I might only see "PRESET: PMDG 737-7 LIGHTS RUNWAY LIGHTS ..." where the word ON/OFF/TOGGLE is cut off, making it hard to correctly select the right entry. Could this be made wider perhaps or have a tooltip showing its full text? Your problem is with presets, not PMDG offsets. So either you manually opted not to install this, or there was an error during installation. In the case of the former, re-install FSUIPC7 and make sure that you select to install this file (or accept the defaults), and in the case of the latter please show me/attach your InstallFSUIPC7.log file. CodeHarry Posted July 26, 2023 Author Report Posted July 26, 2023 Okay, I also did a clean re-install last night, deleting my C:/FSUIPC7 folder (saving my FSUIPC7.ini), and trying again with/without my ini. During the install, I had everything selected for install. There's definitely an events.txt file in C:/FSUIPC7, containing all the options I'd expect (827kb). An example line from it would be: PMDG_B737_Landing_Gear_Off#455101 (>K:ROTOR_BRAKE) I no longer see the events.txt not found log line you highlighted. John Dowson Posted July 26, 2023 Report Posted July 26, 2023 That is because you have Select for FS control checked - you need to check Select for Preset. See your last image. Note also that the preset drop-down takes a second or two to load, so once you click the drop-down ypi need to wait for it to be loaded.
