biggstuff Posted December 29, 2024 Report Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) I just built a new windows 11 PC. I am installing all sofware and FSUIPC latest version installed no problems. I go to try to open the interface as I have done many times on my other computers to make some axis assignments on rudder pedals and the interface will not open. It starts but then no interface opens up for me to make axes assignments Please help. Edited December 29, 2024 by biggstuff

You open it from there, or can use the (default) hot-key assignment of Alt+F to open the FSUIPC7 main window. i presume you see the splash screen, as you say FSUIPC7 starts, but do you see it in your system tray? if so, and opening it (either via the task bar icon or using Alt+F) should move it to the task bar and show the main window. If you can't see the main window, it is being positioned outside of your screen area. To fix this, exit FSUIPC7 and remove the Window ini parameter from the [General] section of your FSUIPC7.ini file. If you can't see it in the task bar, please check if it is actually running or not and show me your FSUIPC7.log file.
biggstuff Posted December 29, 2024 Author Report Posted December 29, 2024 This worked like a charm. Now I know why previously when I started FSUIPC after MSFS is running it tells me a version is already running. But then the interface opens then. Now it did not until this morning and your response and only to find out that it was hidden in the system tray. GLAD!!

As I said, by default FSUIPC7 starts iconized to the system tray, except if a new version is available in which case it will start with the main window open. There is an ini parameter you can use to control this behavior: Quote OpenOnStart=No: setting this to Yes will cause the FSUIPC7 main window to open on start-up. This option can be controlled via the Options->Open on Start menu item. Note that FSUIPC7 will still open on start-up when a new is available for download (indicated by a message in the FSUIPC7 main window) even when this is set to No. To prevent this, you can set this option to Never. Happy New Year! John
Eduardo P Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Hi, John. My FSUIPC7 opens MSFS2020 when I run it (is it normal?) but the interface isn't shown anywhere (neither in tray nor in taskbar) and I have no .ini or .log
