Eduardo P Posted Friday at 07:39 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:39 PM After dealing with many issues I installed FSUIPC7 in default folder (C;\FSUIPC7) with firewall & anti-virus deactivated. Option to both MSFS2020 & MSFS2024 and registered both FSUIPC7 & WideFS7 and logfile seems ok. I allowed path for MSFS / MSFS24 into my desktop Folder shows just 1 FSUIPC7 application (shouldn't be 2: 1 for MSFS2020 & 1 for MSFS2024?). Can't find .ini file anywhere. And to clarify me so I won't post another doubt, MSFS Windows Batch File & MSFS24 Windows Batch File need any action from me? Tks for clarification.

No - it is the same application for both versions. 13 hours ago, Eduardo P said: Can't find .ini file anywhere. This is created the first time you run FSUIPC7. You have no FSUIPC7.log file either, so it looks like it hasn't been ran yet. But you also need to change your Explorer settings to see the extensions of these files - please see the Addendum on the last page of the Installation and Registration guide.
Eduardo P Posted Saturday at 02:45 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 02:45 PM Don't know if I did it correctly
John Dowson Posted Saturday at 02:51 PM Report Posted Saturday at 02:51 PM Did you read the documentation? I am sorry but I provide documentation so that I don't have to answer such questions - I even told you where to look... From the documentation: Quote n Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, View tab, and scroll down the list. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Then, when you need to look at a log or find your settings you'll be able to identify it correctly Your image shows that this is still checked. Before you post here, please: - check the documentation, - search these forums to see if your question has already been answered
John Dowson Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM Report Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM Does FSUIPC7 run ok? Can you add assignments, and when you run FSUIPC7 the next time are they still available (i.e. have been preserved/saved)? If so, you have no issues and there must be a FSUIPC7.ini and FSUIPC7.log file. If you have any issues, please report them and show me / attach your InstallFSUIPC7.log. If the log and ini files are generated, you can also attach them (if you have issues). If they are not generated, then try running as admin. If they are then generated, it will be a permissions issue on the folder that you installed into.
Eduardo P Posted Saturday at 06:29 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 06:29 PM (edited) I really wasn't trying to create an issue here and sorry if you thought this. In printscreen => option "show hidden files, folders and drives" is checked (not "Don't show hidden files, folders and drives) and so I think that this was what you wrote here In printscreen => option "Hide extensions for known files types" is checked and I don't know if this issue (.ini not showing could be because of it) I right-clicked in FSUIPC7 application and it opened to tray (initially in hidden icons in taskbar rightside) FSUIPC7.iniFSUIPC7.logFSUIPC7.logInstallFSUIPC7.log Edited Saturday at 06:32 PM by Eduardo P adding information
John Dowson Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Report Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM But I just don't understand why you are posting at all... There ini file is there - you attached it, and it is the one with the type 'Configuration Settings'. The log file is there, and with the type 'Text Document'. You cannot see the extension because you have Explorer set to 'Hide extensions of known file types', If you want to see the extensions, then uncheck this option. This is all documented. This topic of this post is 'Shouldn't I have an .ini file?'. The answer is yes - and you do. It is first created when you run FSUIPC7. I really have nothing more to say on this topic so I am closing/locking it now. Please consult both the documentation and these user forums for any issues before posting,
