Hi Rob,
Here's links to some images of an airport not a million miles from Emma :-)
Richard
Looking absolutely gorgeous, Richard !! :!:
(and why don't we have 'jumpy' emoticons here.... I would have added a few !! )
-
Yup, I am a Paulussie en Eucalypta Generation guy... LOL !!
Yes, Rob, suit and tie I guess....

He Francois,
A few years ago why?
:D I asked because it doesn't cease to amaze me that using this Internet for communicating we (well, at least I) always have some sort of mental picture of the people we 'meet' and almost always it is a real surprise to see them or meet them in reality....
(P.s. my 'Ko de Boswachter' picture is me last year in my garden... usually though you would see me in a suit and tie   )
 Francois

...and Rob.... is that really you in that picture ??

ABC is Alaskan Bush Charter, a VA founded by Don Moser. Don is a well known scenery designer and aircraft repainter. You will find his 3 fourms on AVSIM, right underneath the 3 BFU forums there.
You can also click on the links in my Bush sig, all over AVSIM still...

Richard, good to see you here ! :D
When we get this started, one of the first things we need....obviously...LOL... is a Sign at the entrance of Emma Filed with the flying club's name on it !
Umm.. do we have a name yet? Emma Field Flying Club ?
A little office for the day-to -day operations and flight planning would be nice to have too
Cheers,
Francois

Welcom SiX, yes I opened a forum here too. Not intending to replace others like BFU and ABC, but merely to help 'our' readers to find their way to bush flying.
Any help is appreciated of course ! :o

Jeroen, absolutely not a problem.... the drinks I mean. I am very good at consu... errrmm.. serving them. With the excepttion of Monday mornings.....

Looks very nice indeed Lauren..... I wish I had the patience to do that.... :) :)
-
Absolutely !! :D I should NOT like it because looking after it and others means it takes time out of my flying (which I don't get to do too often anymore), so.....
And as you can see I am the 'master fumbler'umm.. just behind Miguel that is... since this was meant to go in as reply to Mathijs' poll post....
-
What old forum ???
I like this one, although it means 'work'
Francois

Hi Cecil, great to see you here ! No apparently I can't
Oh well, in that case. we'll just make this site so good that they can do without me, so I can find some time to fly again myself
Happy flying !

That should be 'ONLY 600 miles' !! 8)
It was a fun trip though.... and a fun 2 weeks banter following it.. LOL !!
-
Good to see you here buddy !! :D
It DOES get a bit of a 'job' visiting all these forums nowadays ...... but I figure it's worth it....
-
I am hoping to be there.... but depends on RW job
Francois

Yup.... something wrong with the 'login memory' ..... the risk is of course that if Miguel tries to fix it....... :? :?
-
Mathijs, as soon as I have got this brand new flashy PC up and running again, I'm happy to give it a try....
But first.. back to the shop... HD is bad :x

Thanks for the nice pictures :D

Hi all,
since Miguel decided to nuke the forums, we thought this was as good as any an opportunity to come up with some new forums.
The Bush Pilots forum is one of them, and there will be others in the near future.
As some of you (many, I hope! :P ) will know, I am one of these people that like to fly in Alaska, Canada, Washington and other remote places with beautiful landscapes and not many airports. FS2002 lends itself very well to this sort of flying... there is some great mesh scenery around nowadays, plenty of (free and payware) scenery add-ons and rugged bush aircraft !!
This is the place to learn more about it and to hang out if you like flying with a GPS, or even without one, at 500 feet IN the valleys and not over them, juggling a map on your lap and a thermos with coffee in one hand, keeping a lookout for that cabin you were supposed to drop last week's mail bag ! No FMC's here, no jet fuel needed, an no big paychecks either!
Hope to see you around ! :)
