  1. We'll let you use the cellar, Mr. B.

Any other complaints can be directed at the original designer, who chose to retract his initial agreement, forcing us to come up with something entirely new.

Now, as to Milton Keynes... I have some friends who are running a flourishing estate agency there and no matter the state of the estates, THEY are entirely happy! Mainly because of the huge turnover of properties I would think

But tell me, is it really worse than Slough !!?? :D

  2. Although Fritz had some doubts about the resurrection of his beloved Emma Field after the previous architect pulled out and the Big Fire destroyed the old airfield, he looked at all the drawings and designs and recognized some new possibilities in having a larger club house and restaurant.

Yes, it will attract NEW customers from all over indeed - in fact we've seen quite a number of new members signing up these past few days !! - but you are correct; some things need to be cared for.

Since Government Types usually drive up here (or try to) in Big Black Suburbans (although that may change with the current green administration), Fritz went out the other day in his old Willies Jeep and changed some of the road signs around in the area.

That'll keep things quiet. The only GPS that Emma Field is actually visible on is in Holland, so no danger there.

  3. SWELL !!

I was on the server just before I typed the message that all was okay. Well... apparently the provider STOPPED and RESTARTED the server just after that message was posted... and all FSHost sessions went belly-up.

I have restarted the lot now and all is running again ("..... I am afraid typing such things now, of course.... ", he whispered, anxiously looking over his shoulder).... so have fun.

Oh, and I posted a small hint for the 'donation drive' as well here and elsewhere. I forgot to tell ya'll last year I think.

  4. All my own fault, I admit... I forgot to post my yearly 'donation' messages. So I paid all of last year mostly myself, and prepaid THIS year already too. Seeing so many people ask for money (often for themselves even) in the various forums, finally sparked the hidden brain cell to react: '.. darn, that server is running on fumes....!!'. And since I am not a large company, even though we have some great products, even a little rented VPS server makes nasty cuts into the income. But I know it serves a purpose, so I will try and keep it running for ya.

So, if you use it and can spare a few dollars, I'd really appreciate some help in keeping the server running. You can just go to the SERVICES PAGE and click on the 'Donate' button there..... as often as you like *chuckle*. FYI, I need some $ 600, but any bit will help!

On another note: this site is now running on another server. We were getting too popular (also because of Simon's freeware downloads!!) and the host made us upgrade to a business account. A victim of our own success, as it were.... oh well.

  5. Emma X is 'FSAddon Publishing' (I bought the rights to the 'brand' from the former publisher LAGO) and has nothing to do with Orbx (except that our developers also work for them and hence can make sure it will fit in to whatever they make there).

Bill Womack is now the designated EmmaX developer and in between his other work, still chugging away at the new Emma..... We'll blow new life into the club once we have something to show for us.

    BIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :)

  6. Francois and his trusty steed.....

... on his way to Emma Field...... some water stopped us at the time....

Now, I have an old Indian to ride around sim0wise, but what we really need of course is a Beemer of the above kind... if only I cold design things myself again.

  7. Although I DO ride through winter, current weather and road conditions AND the abundant luggage that needed transporting up into the mountains, dictaded we drove our loyal Jeep instead of the Beemer ;-)

We're back home safe and sound, having navigated a frozen Europe without any problems, driving through (parts of) Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy Switzerland and Germany...... and oh yes, we skied one afternoon too.

Will respond after I get rid of this crazy backlog that awaited me on my desk...... :D

  8. LOL! We just got home from our travels. I'll work on the backlog first the rest of the week, but am surly going to play with that site.

I already rented FSGrumpy.com and Grumpytales.com.... and they are awaiting some of my spare time ;-)
