Some questions: I noticed that the mode selector rotary knob has only 4 positions, so full rose VOR and ILS are missing.- How can I make them work ?, or instead how can I replace the actual VOR and APP positions for full rose VOR and ILS, which I use best ? The DH MDA rotary works OK, but when I push it, it comands the banking angle positions of the heading AP system, is that correct ?.- Did you make other profiles such as for the PDMG B747, Wilco B737 or Capt Sim B757/767 ?.- Thanks

No, the problem is not specific to any aircraft.- I read in other forum that maybe an external aplication "steals" the F12 keystroke, but I cannot find any.- I found can I can reach the top down view by hitting "A" in sequence.- Thanks

I lost my top down view in FSX, it was assigned by default to F12 but it doesnt work now, sometimes it interacts with F10 which is 2D cocpit, I tried assigning it to other free key as X, but when hit, the replay screen appears, although in the keyboard list it shows as assigned to Top Down view.- I tried reseting keyboard controls to default, but no way.- As I thought FSUIPC maybe interfering, I disabled it by moving FSUIPC.dll and FSUIPC.ini to other folder, but again no way.- I have all my controls managed by FSUIPC, (CH Yoke, Quadrant and Pedals) so they were disabled within FSX.- Afterwards as I found the panning view works smoother within FSX, I reenabled controls and to avoid conflicts deleted all joystick controls and buttons in FSX with the only exception of panning view which I mapped to my CH Yoke hat, leaving keyboard assignments as they were.- Any ideas ? Pete I built a new PC and had to reinstall all, when I tried with FSUIPC version 4500 complete, an error box informed that MSVCR80.DLL was missing at the aplication.- I went to Internet and downloaded that file and copied to my Windows 7 64, System32 folder.- When retrying the installation it informed that an aplication attempts to run incorrectly the C runtime.- As I wanted to delete the .dll at System 32, I looked in that folder, but couldnt find it any more there, the strange thing is that it is already present there, as I tried to copy it again and the aplication asked if I want to overwrite it.- Is there a solution ? There is no Pollinterval entry at the [buttons] section of my FSUIPC.ini, I found instead this: ButtonRepeat=20,10.-

As I said, if you want to assign just the Pan View in FS, do so. Everything else in FSUIPC can be left as is. Just be sure that nothing assigned in FSUIPC is also assigned in FS. That's the only thing which will cause problems -- the same axes or buttons assigned in two different places will both activate and cause confusion at the very least! [ Yes, just don't assign any of the FSUIPC controls in FSX (unassign any that you have). As long as you don't assign in both places, you can mix and match as you wish. How are you assigning the hat? It should be assigned, in the axis assignments, to "PAN VIEW". You can assign it as 8 buttons instead, but that is really more suited to view changing rather than panning. FSX doesn't have to go through SimConnect, it can operate things directly. However, the pan view command from the axis assignment works pretty well as far as I can see. If it is unacceptable to you, please assign it in FSX instead. Pete I am using FSUIPC registered 4.6 version, and within FSX, controls are disabled and managed by FSUIPC, being very satisfied with it.- I have the yoke hat configured to panning, and noticed that sometimes the movement is not at all smooth, and unacceptable jerky.- When I enable controls within FSX, the hat works like a charm.- Which can be the cause ? Okay. In fact the line wasn't as you quoted, the one I couldn't unsderstand. The wrong lines are: [Axes.] [Profile.] 1= To me it looks exactly as if you deleted just the "Concorde" name before you retried, instead of the complete section, thus leaving those partial lines. I cannot think of any other possible explanation! The reason it was okay in the Calibration tab (and would have been in the Keys and Buttons tabs) is that you only had Axes defined before. Anyway, in the next release I shall ignore or even delete such entries, even though I don't think they'll ever happen naturally. Regards Pete Pete I didnt partially delete accidentally that entry.- The total sequence is: Included Concorde in my jets profile As there were problems with the throttles I deleted the entry Created a specific Concorde profile As again had problems I deleted it Tried again, but this time I couldnt because in the axis page I found the profile box was already chequed.- I looked at the ini and noticed that the entry "[Profile.]1=" appeared I deleted that false entry Tried again a couple of times and the same happened, each time I loaded the Concorde and got in the axis assigning page, the false entry appeared in the ini.- Strange, isnt it ?

That's a bit out of date, and not supported. 4.60 is current, with a later update in the Updates Announcenemt in this forum. Strange. After updating to 4.60 or later, can you show me an FSUIPC4 log, please, with the Concorde being loaded/used, and your INI file. You can paste them into a message here. Just select them after pasting and use the "code" button to encapsulate them for scrolling and selection. I am using the registered version 4.57, and a CH Yoke, pedals and quadrant.- In FSX, I disabled controls and let FSUIPC manage them.- I am using profiles and the "ShortAircraftNameOk=Substring" entry in the .ini.- I created diferent profiles for jets and prop aircraft.- I have a profile for multiengine jets which I use with B747, B727 and B737 without any problems.- I purchased the Concorde X from FSLabs, and within the FSUIPC box, set its axes to the mentioned profile.- As I had problems of stucking throttle levers after some time flying, I deleted manually the Concorde reference of the profile, and created one specific to it.- As the problems continued, I deleted that profile and tried again; strangely, with the Concorde loaded, within the FSUIPC axis assigning box, the profile square was already checked, preventing to create a new profile, which It shouldnt be as all the references to the Concorde were deleted from the .ini, and no other aircraft name in any of the existent profiles has any resemblance.- I checked then the .ini and a new entry appeared: "[Profile.]1=".- I think the levers problems are due to the Concorde X, but I am curious to know what that empty profile is for, and why I cannot create a new replacing profile.- Thanks Jorge

Thanks Pete, you were right, I had some kind of mixture between versions.- I installed V 4.40 as V4.50 doesnt recognize my old fsuipc.ini settings, and I dont want to reprogram all my controls, so now I have the registered version showing, and in XP 32 all goes OK.- The problem is that in XP 64, only the basic controls work, the other programmed controls dont.- I must say that I use the same FSX install in both operative systems, so the same fsuipc.ini is used, the only problem is that due to some oddity in the installation, the drive letters shifted and are not the same.- That should not be a problem as nothing in the ini file points to a specific drive path.-

I had been using the registered version of FSUIPC 4.5 without problems in FSX, running Win XP 32; now I installed the XP 64 bits version in dual boot mode, and the unregistered version shows with the registering box greyed out and a legend about using right click to load FS as administrator.- I have no other user than administrator, I tried with the right click and only administrator is checked, also I unchecked the box about protecting the programs from unauthorized changes, also in the compatibility box there is an option about letting other users to access the program, which I checked, but the problem remains.- I have no problems when running FSX in XP 32.- Want a solution because I am accustomed to use FSX with controls managed by FSUIPC.- Thanks

I am using FSUIPC to manage my controls and I am very happy with it.- All what I said applies to my case, so I dont know what happens with people who dont use FSUIPC.- As I said in my first post, the problem is definitely an incompatibility between the CS B757 and the latest versions of FSUIPC.- As I had saved all FSUIPC 4 versions, I made trials with all of them with same settings, the result was that V 4.323 is the latest with which I had no problems.- I dont know if that makes sense, but is absolutely real.- Well, I really cannot imagine what it is which you and Soldano have set in FSUIPC which causes any problems. By default, with no assignments, no calibrations, no settings, FSUIPC does nothing -- the same as if you had not registered it. It really then cannot possibly interfere. There is really bound to be some setting or assignment which is causing an incompatibility, but with no information to go on there is nothing I can do to help. Re-reading the earlier reports here it looks as if Soldano is saying that the aircraft actually USES FSUIPC for something -- if so then how do you fly it without? There is almost nothing in this thread which makes any sense. Maybe someone, someday, perhaps, will actually come here with something more definite. Regards Pete

Thanks Pete I discovered the cause.- It happened that the assignments and settings for the B767 were copied in fsuipc.ini from the B737 as I always do for new similar aircrafts in order to save time and efforts, but in this special case it caused the trim problem.- I found that making new specific B767 settings and callibrations fixed the problem and now the trim works OK.-
