  1. You are losing precision by copying to a float. Use a double. long long Lat; double dLat; if (FSConnection.ReadAndProcess(0x568, 8, &Lat) { dLat = Lat; dLat = dLat*90.0/(10001750.0 * 65536.0 * 65536.0); } ... ... [/CODE]
  2. Run the ADE environment checker, ADE-Check.exe There is also a support forum at: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95 George
  3. I use a simple set of batch files linked to icons on my desktop When I modify the cfgs, I have other batch files to save to the appropriate files. George
  4. After a long day, it is now working in FS9 :-) Thanks Pete. George
  5. Hi Pete, I will be happy to do any testing you require when you are ready. I have sent you my email address. Regards, George PS. I use the "no disk" version of FS9.
  6. No, the only applications I have written are started after FS9 and of course I haven't tried any of them. I renamed the .ini file and it still fails on loading. I am not sure what you wish me to do. If you want further logging, please tell me what statements and where I place them. BTW. wxstationlist.BIN has not been recreated, but UI generated flight.WX has been recreated. Regards, George
  7. I renamed wxstationlist.BIN to wxstationlist.BBB and renamed all wx files. Same problem. Created a new flight with the "Clear weather" theme. ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.998 by Pete Dowson ********* Running on Windows Version 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Verifying Certificate for "U:\ZFS9\MODULES\FSUIPC.DLL" now ... I use FS9 only for testing other people's problems so using the previous version of FSUIPC is not a problem. My normal use is FSX with FSUIPC4
  8. After installing FSUIPC V3.998 from FSUIPC3998fixed.zip, FS9 hangs at 0% loading scenery objects. It works fine with 3.997 of 23rd June. 9. This is the problem: Checking compatibility with installed SimConnect: Found SimConnect build 60905 (Original), but this is not correctly installed! Found SimConnect build 61242 (SP1 May07), but this is not correctly installed! Found SimConnect build 61259 (Acc/SP2 Oct07), but this is not correctly installed! ... Failed to find a valid SimConnect needed to use FSUIPC4! But I have no idea how to correct it :(
  10. Both the full installer and .dll links can are at: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/
  11. I think Plan-G will work across a network. See http://tasoftware.co.uk George Oops, sorry, I missed the point about moving the user aircraft. I don't think it can do that.
  12. The greatest amount of time during the initial load is spent scanning the aircraft folders. I have just under 1000 aircraft and it takes about two minutes:
  13. On my slower 3.0GHz machine, it takes 2min 37sec for the initial load. It is not much faster on my 4.2GHz machine. George
  14. Thanks Pete  George
  15. Hi Pete, Both of the links to 3.989e and 4.628 are broken :-( George
  16. Might it be possible to reduce the number of pinned topics? With the new forum layout, there is more than a page of such topics. George
  17. No problem Pete. As my manual was dated 2008, I thought there may have been additional offsets introduced later. George
  18. The programmers manual states that the return value for offset 0020 is in metres x 256 returned as a long, however, Simconnect returns its value in metres as a double (to what pecision I do not know). I have noticed a 2mm difference between the values returned by FSUIPC and Simconnect. Is there an FSUIPC offset which will give the the value as a double, ie. the same as that returned by Simconnect? George Edit. Sorry, I should have said that this is for FSUIPC 4.
  19. I use it with Fugawi Maps for the UK. George
  20. Of course you are correct, I was being lazy and not checking any of the return values  George
  21. Thanks Pete. I am using C++ from Visual Studio .Net 2003. Would you believe it  I restarted FSX and set IPC Reads and IPC Writes for logging and the program received the correct value of 56 :? It is also reading my key presses, so everything is working correctly. Sorry to have troubled you, I will use logging if I have any further problems. George
  22. This is the fist time I have attempted to use this feature but I am having a problem with the table size. This is the code: DWORD TableSize; FSConnection.ReadAndProcess(0x320C, 4, &TableSize); but the returned value is 0xcccccccc, rather than 56 as specified in the "FSUIPC for Programmers" document I am using FSX/Acceleration with FSUIPC4 Version 4.5.7.5 Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? George
  23. Remove the entry from Standard.xml. CTRL+VK_SLASH INVOKE_HELP
  24. Note. It costs $25 for the 64 bit version. George
  25. No problem Alan, I can provide you with a manual for Visual C++ Version 5  George
