  1. Hi,

just one question regarding your request:

I just found your order of "Tenerife" from August 2002 in my records. Did you also order the other island at our website (as far as I remember we never offered them, because we stopped selling at our site) or did you buy the other canary islands at simmarket?

Please send me an e-mail mail@sim-wings.de and we´ll sure find a solution for this problem.

  2. Jerez: Yes, will definetly be part of the coming CD-box "Spain" and sold as a single download version.

Girona: Yes, but it will take some time. But I allready made the photos to built the airport.

Rest of the airports: Maybe sometimes :-)

  3. Hi,

for the CD´s you can use the "free" patches we allready made. If you want to update your CD box of the Canary Islands to the new FS2004 CD box you can send your old FS2002 CD to Aerosoft and they´ll send you a complete new CD package "canary islands 2004" for the update price of 12.95 Euro. Please visit their website at http://www.aerosoft.de or http://www.aerosoft.com for further information.

You cannot update a CD-version to the latest stuff by download yet, maybe it will be soon possible, when Aerosoft is selling the new download versions as well. But anyway you have to send them your CD to proof the entitlement for the update.

All other patches we allready made (like Malaga) are "free" and work with the download version and the cd-box.

  4. Hi Steve,

you can install the sceneries manually. As an example I choose Ibiza:

First: unzip the zip file containing the scenery and use "use folders" in Winzip.

Second: Now create a new directory "Ibiza2002" under flight simulator 9/Addon Scenery/

Third: Copy the directories "scenery" and "texture" of the unzipped file under the new "Ibiza2002" directory.

Fourth: Select "SETTINGS" at the start screen of FS2004 and add the scenery to the scenery library and close FS2004.

At last: Install the fs2004 patches of our website and start FS2004.

This procedure should work for all FS2002 sceneries.

Please note: for Barcelona and Alicante are no FS2004 patches available yet (but soon).

  5. Hello Javier,

we all thought that Madrid will be released in November. But we decided do make another improvement to the scenery and add photorealistic ground textures for the airport ground. This took more time than we thought. But it will be finished soon. :P I expect the release within the next 2 weeks. Despite that: It took real a long time to built this scenery because everything, specially the ground markings, taxisign, taxi light poles etc. is absolutely 100% like in reality. A Follow-Me car driver of Barajas provided us with all this information and checked it.

    So I think it´s worth waiting :)

    regards

  6. HI Adam,

yes, you can order the Eastern and Western update sceneries at simmarket. Both together for 12.95 E. When you have ordered they´ll verify that you own the previous versions and send you a link to download the eastern and western part of the new Canary Islands 2004.

Both together have the same content like the new "Canary Islands" Box of Aerosoft.

    >>Also, does the update at SimMarket also contain all the require files to make the Canary Island packages FS2004 compatible ?

Yes, of course this new version is FS2004 (and Fs2002) compatible. The download files are not a patch, they are new full-versions.

If you just want to make your fs2002 sceneries work in FS2004 you also can use our free patches available at http://www.sim-wings.de at the download site. But this patches don´t contain the realistic coastline etc. changes like mentioned in the posting before.

    Regards, Thorsten

  7. HI,

yes they are different. The "free" patch was made to enable our customers to use the FS2002 Canary Scenery in Fs2004. Also some few changes were made (coastlines around the airports of El Hierro, LaPalma, Gran Canaria).

The new "Canary islands for FS2004" CD-box (and the two new online versions Eastern/Western canary Islands) are different. Here we add new realistic coastlines and roads for the entire islands (build with VTP technique after a scanned map) and we changed the airport grounds to better represent the realistic situaton of some airports like "aircraft carriers" (La Gomera and Tenerife North). Also this Airport of Tenerife North now has the new Terminal building and apron layout. At other airports we built new off shore approach lights (like in Lanzarote and Gran canaria). The mesh is rebuilt to fit to the realistic coastlines, and the landclasses are new too.

Please have a look at our screenshots made of the new FS2004 version at http://www.sim-wings.de.
