  1. These are all FSINN/FSCopilot errors. Go to the VATSIM forums to get help for that, or just use VPilot instead. Cheers! Luke
  2. Pete, would it make sense now to default to TCP as the protocol? Cheers! Luke
  3. Just the FSUIPC.INI file. Cheers! Luke
  4. Pete, I'm not sure. If you look at the WideClient log, the first connection is blocked because (assuming the clocks are sync'd) the server hasn't come up yet. But the second connection looks good, both client and server report that they've made a connection. During that 1 minute connection, the client reports it was receiving around 480 bytes per second, which looks OK. It looks connected to me. Cheers! Luke
  5. The 127.0.53.53 addresses are the result of misconfigured name resolution. In those situations it's best to use the IP address rather than the host name. Cheers! Luke
  6. 127.0.0.0/8 is a localhost block. http://serverfault.com/questions/626612/dns-just-started-resolving-my-server-prod-addresses-to-127-0-53-53 Cheers! Luke
  7. That's not the error details. Before you go farther, you will want to update to the latest version. Pete won't be able to help you with any error details until you do. If you still get the message, I'd be curious to see the FSUIPC.LOG file. Cheers! Luke
  8. Iain, as I told you - you have a name resolution problem. Putting in the computer name will NOT work. What is the log when you specified an IP address? Is port 8002 open on the server? Are you certain? Cheers! Luke
  9. You have name resolution problems, not address issues. You could probably tell WideClient to connect to the IP address instead of the name, or use a fully qualified host name in DNS. (If you don't know how to do the latter, do the former.) Cheers! Luke
  10. Why is host "ALPHA" using a 127.x.x.x address? Cheers! Luke
  11. I don't understand. Windows 7 still works. if you had a problem with your setup you could just reinstall. Cheers! Luke
  12. No, you were right, Pete - I am battling the flu and didn't see that I was decrementing the value by one to map to a zero-offset array. Even after 28 years, I still make these kinds of mistakes. :( Thanks for looking into it. I'll make some more debug builds to give to my users to see what is going on. Cheers! Luke
  13. Would anyone be able to validate what value is returned by Acceleration? I have SP2 that returns 2 (not 3 as the documentation suggests), so I assume Accel returned 3. It doesn't appear to be, but I don't have a copy to test against. Cheers! Luke
  14. "Problem Exists between Chair and Keyboard" :) Cheers! Luke
  15. I've never know a language where they were identical.... except basic. Cheers! Luke
  16. Is the DLL in the same folder as the EXE? Cheers! Luke
  17. Thanks - I really appreciate it. Cheers! Luke
  18. If you have the time, an offset to provide this data (whether the user is running FSX SE) would be really helpful, as well as minor version number of available like what you did with P3D. Cheers! Luke

  20. Worst case, play with the AffinityMask setting in FSX.CFG to prevent it from using all the cores. Cheers! Luke
  21. That's odd - I can happily run FSX, Visual C# Community Edition, my add-on and Eclipse debugging a remote JVM application without issue. What kind of hardware do you have? Cheers! Luke
  22. Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it. Do you have a suggested test for wind smoothing that I can execute to validate that it's working? I've not worked with changing the weather via FSUIPC but I can happily whip up a simple utility to write to some offsets. Cheers! Luke
  23. It looks like you are trying to link your old account to your new email. Why not create a new account at SimMarket? Cheers! luke
  24. I'm running AS2012 SP3 and I've noticed that the wind shifts seem more abrupt than before - looking at the log I noticed a line that puzzles me: ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.937 by Pete Dowson ********* Reading options from "D:\Program Files\FSX\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Running inside FSX on Windows 7 Module base=626A0000 User Name="Luke Kolin" User Addr="luke@sce.net" FSUIPC4 Key is provided WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 16 System time = 02/11/2014 10:48:03 16 FLT path = "C:\Users\luke.POLARIS\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\" 312 Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... 312 FS path = "D:\Program Files\FSX\" 515 LogOptions=00000000 00000001 515 SIM1 Frictions access gained 515 Wind smoothing fix is fully installed 515 G3D.DLL fix attempt installed ok 515 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 515 Trying to use SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 2106 Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61472.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0) 2106 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 2106 FSUIPC Menu entry added 2122 C:\Users\luke.POLARIS\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\KSEA 34R.FLT 2122 D:\Program Files\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\C172\Cessna172SP.AIR 2122 Weather Mode now = Global 14149 ASE with WX requester detected 19843 D:\Program Files\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\LVLD_B763\B767-300.AIR 76175 System time = 02/11/2014 10:49:19, Simulator time = 11:48:05 (11:48Z) 76191 Aircraft="Level D Simulations B767-300ER - Liberty Studios Delta Airlines" 77080 Weather Mode now = Theme 77158 Starting everything now ... 77174 AES Link established 77236 Weather Mode now = Global 77330 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 127546 Weather Mode now = Theme 127999 Weather Mode now = Global 392015 ***** HID USB device reconnected: re-initialising FSUIPC connections 555067 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 479 secs = 43.3 fps 555067 Average weather filter write interval in that time = 3547.5 msecs Specifically the line at 14149 - does this get emitted with ASE as well as AS2012?
