  1. It looks like you are trying to link your old account to your new email. Why not create a new account at SimMarket? Cheers! luke
  2. I'm running AS2012 SP3 and I've noticed that the wind shifts seem more abrupt than before - looking at the log I noticed a line that puzzles me: ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.937 by Pete Dowson ********* Reading options from "D:\Program Files\FSX\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Running inside FSX on Windows 7 Module base=626A0000 User Name="Luke Kolin" User Addr="luke@sce.net" FSUIPC4 Key is provided WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 16 System time = 02/11/2014 10:48:03 16 FLT path = "C:\Users\luke.POLARIS\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\" 312 Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... 312 FS path = "D:\Program Files\FSX\" 515 LogOptions=00000000 00000001 515 SIM1 Frictions access gained 515 Wind smoothing fix is fully installed 515 G3D.DLL fix attempt installed ok 515 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 515 Trying to use SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 2106 Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61472.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0) 2106 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 2106 FSUIPC Menu entry added 2122 C:\Users\luke.POLARIS\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\KSEA 34R.FLT 2122 D:\Program Files\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\C172\Cessna172SP.AIR 2122 Weather Mode now = Global 14149 ASE with WX requester detected 19843 D:\Program Files\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\LVLD_B763\B767-300.AIR 76175 System time = 02/11/2014 10:49:19, Simulator time = 11:48:05 (11:48Z) 76191 Aircraft="Level D Simulations B767-300ER - Liberty Studios Delta Airlines" 77080 Weather Mode now = Theme 77158 Starting everything now ... 77174 AES Link established 77236 Weather Mode now = Global 77330 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 127546 Weather Mode now = Theme 127999 Weather Mode now = Global 392015 ***** HID USB device reconnected: re-initialising FSUIPC connections 555067 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 479 secs = 43.3 fps 555067 Average weather filter write interval in that time = 3547.5 msecs Specifically the line at 14149 - does this get emitted with ASE as well as AS2012? Cheers! Luke
  3. What is "it"? The error message is from an add-on that's attempting to talk to FSUIPC. Do you have a screen shot? Cheers! Luke
  4. I'll let the OP answer here, but so long as one is not using a joystick axis, the data appears to correct. I am in the process of reinstalling my PMDG737X and I will validate later this weekend. Cheers! Luke
  5. (Argh. Forum ate my first post!) I'm reading 30F0 and 30F4, adding them together than shifting right 9 bits for an average flaps value. Since PMDG and most add-ons do something funky I also adjust the flaps based on the values than FSX reports. I can provide those ranges if it helps. Cheers! Luke
  6. It's a screenshot of an XML editor. Looks like two entries. Cheers! Luke
  7. FSUIPC looks like it's running fine. Cheers! Luke
  8. There you go. The weather file is corrupt. FSUIPC isn't causing the crash, it's just reading the weather Cheers! Luke
  9. How would you connect to FSUIPC if you're not running on a Windows box? Neither FSUIPC nor WideClient run on OSX, IIRC. Cheers! Luke
  10. FWIW I don't believe SB4 writes weather at all to FSX. Cheers! Luke
  11. Can you telnet to the server using port 6600? That should test whether it can work or not - if you can't either FSX isn't running or something is blocking the connection. Cheers! Luke
  12. Before you reset the network stack have you checked that a) the IP address for the server is correct, and b) the firewall isn't blocking the port for SimConnect? Cheers! Luke
  13. How dare you take vacation at such a critical juncture! :) Cheers! Luke
  14. Autosave isn't the culprit, per se - the problem is that for the PMDG777 the save cycle is too long. I wouldn't be surprised if SB4 also has an issue with it. Cheers! Luke
  15. If he's actually referring to XSquawkbox, that's an X-Plane product that doesn't work with FSX. Cheers! Luke
  16. Fascinating. So to confirm, you just wrote the new PLN to 0x130 and 0x3130 got updated? Cheers! Luke
  17. FSUIPC looks like it's running fine. Are you running FS9 as admin, and your add-ons at some lower privilege level? Cheers! Luke
  18. Sorry to bump, but the user is having trouble finding the INI file - it's not in the Modules folder where I have mine. What directory does FSUIPC write its settings to? Cheers! Luke
  19. Pete, I've gotten a few reports from my users regarding FSUIPC4 reporting that FSX is not "ready to fly". I check offsets 0x3364 and 0x3365 for a non-zero value, and if either reports != 0 I return back the message. When working with the users, they've provided FSUIPC logs that say "Delaying SimConnect connection". I've tried googling this message with few results. I'm curious, what prompts FSUIPC to delay the SimConnect connection? It looks like it's been delayed here for around 33s, but then it connects just fine. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm enclosing one of my users' submitted logs. Cheers! 20. Thanks Pete! I'll give it a whirl this evening/afternoon and let you know. Cheers! Luke
  21. After having lost my SSD over Christmas, I am in the process of restoring my FS9/FSX settings and have it all complete, except for my thrust reverser axis. I am using the left-most axis controller on my CH Yoke as my reverser axis through FSUIPC, and I can't get it working correctly. I have validated that my throttle is working correctly and has a decent idle zone. When at idle I can hit decrease thrust a few times, the reversers engage and stay engaged. Here's a picture of my FSUIPC4 settings: I am reversing the axis because I want full reverse when I push the lever forward, not backwards. To calibrate, I move the lever full forward, hit SET under reverse, then backwards 95% of the way and press SET under Idle. In FSX, this has zero effect. In FS9, on the other hand (having done the same process), the reversers engage at 50% forward, then disengage when full forward. I pull back to full idle - and they engage full! Very strange. Pete, if you need any other data from me, let me know. I'm at a loss on this. Cheers! Luke
  22. That looks like the problem there - either WideServer wasn't started at that time or the firewall was blocking it. Cheers! Luke
  23. I have some software that allows me to lookup a VOR and automatically apply the frequency to the NAV1 radio with a specified heading. This works fantastically, except on the FS9 PMDG. It appears that offset 0C4E is read only and doesn't update the gauge and then when I move the knob I get the old course. Using FS Controls 1026 and 1027 doesn't appear to update the gauge either. Does anyone know what controls or offsets can adjust the course knob in the PMDG 737 MCP? I imagine a home cockpit builder must have needed to do this at some point in the past; I am stumped. Please note that this is for FS9, and *NOT* FSX. Cheers! Luke
