Pete,I reinstalled fsx for SP1 and installed FSUIPC 4.1.Shows up in menu and asks for registration key.Has my name and email already filled in.When I copy and paste my key it says it is invalid.When I first installed fsx last Oct I had an unconventional install and FSUIPC could not install.You told me to reinstall FSX properly and I did and it worked.This time on reinstall for some reason it did not include Flight Simulator X in path. I have D:\Microsoft Games\ all the FSX folders.Not d:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Folders.FSUIPC did install and shows up under add on and asks for my key.I assume I am OK with this installation.Before I do aanother complete reinstall to try registering do you think this could be my problem even though FSUIPC is there and asks for my key?The key is for FSUIPC4.Thanks,Ron

Pete,Can you please clarify this?I purchased FSUIPC several years ago when you first went payware.I have been installing all new versions as they have come out.This the first time I have read on your website that the key for FSUIPC3 does not work for ver 4.It shows I am a registered user and gives my email.Am I not getting all the benefits?Or is ver 4 when you started going payware?It seems to give me access to all functions,which it didn't before I registered.Thanks for any info.Ron

I installed 4.09 before reading that my FSUIPC3 key is not valid.I go to FSUIPC and it shows ver 4.09 and it does not ask me for a key and it seems to be working.I'm not trying to get around purchasing upgrade,but is it possible that it is working or should I reinstall my last version before I purchase upgrade?Thanks,Ron

I know what happened.Default installation sets up the Flight Simulator folder.I didn't do that thanks,Ron

I first tried to run 4.01 and immediately got the message.Then I downloaded the one from your web page "If you can't wait" try this.Got same message.Neither installed.Let me quickly tell you about my install of FSX because I don't think it was quite right although it seems to be working fine.I tried to install direct to my d drive which was newly installed and empty.Got error message saying I could not install to a root directory.Made a folder "Microsoft games and installed to it.All was fine EXCEPT there was no Flight Simulator X folder under my Microsoft Games folder,just all the FSX main folders.So I renamed Microsoft Games to Flight Simulator X.Now that I think about it that would be the same as the root directory,right?SoI may have a bigger problem.What do you suggest?Can I set up a Microsoft Games folder under D and move FSX to it?D:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator?Like I originally wanted to do?Thanks for any help.Will be greatly appreciated.Ron

Pete,I ran everything and it is all just like you say it should be. My simconnect.dll is in same folder as yours and versions match up.Regards,Ron

I ran the exe and got error message"Your FSX installation is not suitable for this version of FSUIPC"I am running FSX Deluxe on D:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X.I have not received email notification of confirmation but I did check order status and it said shipped and there was a key number listed.My new email is Ron@Starvedrockmarina.com.Thank you Ron Powers
