  1. Isnt this related to Nvidia graphics card? I had the same problem along with the black aircraft preview screen and that went when I switched to ATI. Anyhow looks like this is now a thread for another forum! :D Graham

  3. Thanks for explaining that Pete, I don't know why some of the assignments have 'doubled' as I only have one controller. Nevertheless I have deleted all the [AXIS} assignments in the ini and reassigned them and they're fine. I also took note of the aircraft specific option too so I dont have to keep reassigning for each paint, found that to be a pain and never knew about the update!   4. Please find below the whole of the ini, I've noticed it does the same regardless of what aircraft I am using (as long as it has more than 1 throttle!). I have been using the Level-D First Choice Airways and Air Canada NC to test with. If I delete the Axes and Calibration sections from the ini and then reassign the levers to the relevant controls it works fine.   5. Thanks for the advice Tried my other FS2004 install on my dev drive and it works fine so it must be related to the fsuipc.cfg file on my flightsim drive. Strange though how when reverting to version 3.81 28th April that throttle2 works fine. I will look at it later and post back my findings but apologise for assuming the fault was with your code.   6. Morning Pete, Just updated to 3.82 16th July 2008 and noticed throttle2 lever is no longer read. I can assign the axes on my throttle quadrant to throttle2 yet when I go into calibration the values do not change (I set the axis to be calibrated by FSUIPC) . Installing a version of FSUIPC from April 2008 corrects this and all is well. However reinstalling 3.82 produces the fault again irrespective of which joystick lever I assign to throttle2. Could this be a small bug in your code perhaps? Thanks Graham

  8. I'd like to say a big thanks for this explanation Pete. I have set framerate of 30 on fs9 and in my app I have split the reads into different groups so I only perform reads on appropriate offsets at required times. Within my code I also have several timers which read these various groups and I must say that I havent noticed any timing issues. Something else for you to check If you set the axis and calibrate via FSUIPC then make sure that the brakes/rudder are not set to any axis within FS (controls/assignments/joystick axes) I find that every time I start FS I have to manually delete any axis config for the CH PRO PEDALS USB as they always conflict with what I have set within FSUIPC. For some reason my options never seem to save within fs9.cfg Graham

  15. I have question regarding destroying objects. In my project I have option to select aircraft with 2 different classes, defaultaircraft and leveld767. I have used objAircraft to hold the copy of the object depending on which aircraft is selected. In my module I use Public objAircraft but dont set it to anything as this is done when the aircraft is selected. ie If the aircraft is Level-D 767 then in my code I use objAircraft=New leveld767, for default objAircraft=New DefaultAircraft. This works fine for one run ie I select an aircraft, the object is created and my app runs. If however after I then want to choose a different aircraft I get the error 'An item with the same key has already been added.'. So I added the line objAircraft=Nothing, thinking this would kill the object which it seems to as in debug the reference objAircraft is then empty or 'nothing'. ie my code objAircraft = Nothing 'see if it is level-d 767 If n = "Level-D Boeing 767-300ER" Then 'if it is then set flag to show we are using this aircraft objAircraft = New LevelD767 'create instance of level-d aircraft LevelD = True Else objAircraft = New DefaultAircraft 'create instance of default aircraft LevelD = False End If How can I get around this problem please?   18. Gotcha Mr D :lol: What I was doing, as you correctly pointed out, was dividing both parts after the degree ie 33degs then 56/60 and 33/60. What I should have done is 33degs then divide 56/60 and then .33/60. Thanks Gray

I slew to a position of N33* 56.33', W118* 24.29' at KJFK This converted to decimal is 33.9425, -118.4081 If this value is read via FSUIPC within FSinterrogate I get the decimal value of 33.93883, -118.40483. Converting this back to DHM gives value of N33* 56.24', W118* 24.17'. Why is the value read back via FSUIPC different to the value that FS2004 thinks I am currently in? thanks Gray

This is what I use in vb.net with Paul Hentys VB.net DLL Dim rnav1freq As Offset(Of Short) = New FSUIPC.Offset(Of Short)("aircraft radios", &H350) nav1freq = rnav1freq.Value 'freq tuned into nav1 nav1freq = Val(Str(Hex(nav1freq))) + 10000 'get the BCD of the value read and add 10000 to get the leading 1 This returns 11030 rather than 110.30 but for checking if radio is tuned correctly works fine as I also remove the decimal from the frequency to be tuned by multiplying by 100, or you could divide the nav1freq result by 100 to get the decimal place 110.30 regards Gray
