    Hello,

Could anybody possibly share a challenging schedule for klax? At the moment the one shared by Dick or the standard one is not enough traffic. Or is there a place where these are shared?

    Looking forward to a reply,

    Marco

You should look at the schedule file ... it is very simple to create/modify your own schedule. This is the second time you've posted that the sim is not challenging enough for you. I, personally, cannot control the entire LAX airport at a peak time. I mean in reality, it's the job of a least four people. But if you can do it, more power to you. You should make a video, I'd love to see you in action.

Also, I think with separation and available parking spaces there is an actual limit to the number of arrivals (and probably departures) the sim will have active at any point in time.

  2. I have Real Traffic and Real Color and started TIST at 11:00. The first flight was a departure for N765FT at 10:51. After the pushback, I gave the command: "765FT RUNWAY 28 AT FOXTROT" and it worked fine. Attached is a screenshot of the command history and N765FT departing at the intersection F.

  3. I just noticed that when a pushback is requested it is requested of Tower and then after the command is processed the acknowledgment mentions Ground. Shouldn't the original request go to Ground?

This definitely doesn't impact single player, it just caught my ear. Is the request going to the correct controller in multi-player or is just a command verbiage issue?

  4. Again, handling a FedEx departure from 25L I ran across an issue where taxiway F incorrectly feeds onto the RESA/Blast Pad and the aircraft lines up and waits in this area. Another issue which I brought up in another thread but I never saw a FeelThere response was houses on the runway and taxiway. I've included screenshots of both issues.  Thanks!

  5. Yep, definitely a predominant wind out of the west. Which is why we are "complaining" because the wind direction is never between 180 and 360. If you go to that same website and change the setting for the wind direction unit to degrees you can see that the predominant wind direction is 292°. My guess is the sim could possibly be interpreting this as 112° and thus why we're seeing easterly winds instead of the predominant westerly winds.

  6. I've been using taxiway J to emulate the current construction situation on 25R. It's the same way, the aircraft taxi through the grass Looks like LAX could use a little base map to taxiway alignment in addition to the other tweaks mentioned in other threads (including houses on the southernmost taxiway & runway and no cargo area).

hello just a smal tip: give the taxiway instructions along on the pushback clearance, it saves you time, and thats is also what atc is about. It save you  one instruction and one readback.

And i did  test it to here with the same result as you have with clicking on the taxiways for that exact same instruction,  when i type the command then it works fine. ( i never use click as i can type pretty fast)  so i did not have that before

How do give the taxiway instructions along with the pushback? Can you share the syntax and an example? It's not documented. Thanks!

  8. Since it has been brought up in several topics, I thought I'd create a separate topic to request a real traffic/real color refresh from Nyerges Design. It is very obvious the RT schedules are primarily at least a couple of years old. A few flights with "new" big planes like the A380 and Dreamliner have been added, but the schedule itself has not been updated much since Tower!2011's heydey. It is most painfully obvious at KPHL where there is a large amount of US Airways ("Cactus") flights that ceased to exist in April 2015 if I'm not mistaken. Bottom line, this great product released in 2017 should at least have a schedule that reflects 2017 traffic.

We are a passionate customer and our overall satisfaction with Tower!3D Pro relies more on third party efforts than in the past (no longer able to create/modify airports, terminals, airplanes, liveries, etc.). So, my ask is for FeelThere to assist in pursing needed updates from Nyerges.

Thanks - just trying to make a great product even better!

  9. I'm having speech recognition issues with taxiways with two digits (example: C10). I noticed the issue in recent sessions so I did a test at LAX . When I said "CHARLIE ONE ZERO" , it got interpreted as CHARLIE WHISKEY ROMEO and when I said "CHARLIE TEN" it was interpreted as CHARLIE TANGO. I know C10 is defined because when i left C10 out of the route all together and said "RUNWAY TWO FIVE RIGHT  AT JULIET VIA BRAVO" the engine determined the route to be C10, C, C10, B, J.

At LAX I've had issues with C10, D10, E10, and B13 that I recall. Am I doing something wrong in phrasing the taxiway or is this possibly a bug? I've attached a game.log and speech.log of my test if it helps.

    Craig

PS - I know I've brought up a few issues recently but I really really really really really really really really really really do enjoy the sim. That's double digit reallys. Coincidence?

  10. I just spent the last several minutes starting the sim in Random mode at LAX at 11:00am with 25L selected. Below are the results of 20 sim starts:

    033@4, 053@5, 051@2, 068@3, 017@9, 028@1, 025@9, 068@6, 033@11, 093@3, 105@06, 106@9, 063@10 (rain), 054@5, 010@4 (rain), 040@12, 066@6, 017@6, 014@10, 029@5. 20 starts and the wind direction ranged from 010 to 106.

Just in case the runway selected impacted the "randomness", I selected 7R and received the followed results: 072@10, 003@6, 022@1, 062@2, 005@10.

Above are the results which should be a decent sample set to draw some conclusions on the randomness of winds. In this post I'm just here to state the facts, I'll let others come to conclusions.

  11. Hey Vic & Team,

While you are working on the cargo area (hopefully), there looks to be some cleanup work needed on the south side of LAX ... specifically the area bordering 25L/7R. I had a few FedEx flights departing from 25L and there are some houses on the runway and taxiway (see attached screen shot). In reality, the houses are obviously not nearly that close and are separated from the airport by the cargo/aviation/commercial areas and a highway. Thanks!25L.thumb.JPG.b648a76200b936d91591f5d5eb38acf6.JPG

  12. Not sure if it will help you, but a common fix for sound issues is to make sure you run Tower3D.exe as administrator.

Regarding the other issues ... the installation programs for the add-ons have issues, especially when it comes to the default directories. Bottom line, you need to be real careful where you install everything ... using the default folders will create a honked up install.

I've attached a screenshot of the Pro folder structure. Hopefully it helps.

  13. Hmmm, ok. Well, if the turn isn't going to be followed then I don't see the purpose of the command. No biggie, to ensure separation I've been using CALLSIGN, RUNWAY XX CLIMB VIA RUNWAY HEADING TO XXX THOUSAND (XX HUNDRED) ON REACHING TURN LEFT/RIGHT TO HEADING XXX; CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF and then following up with CALLSIGN, CONTACT DEPARTURE at the appropriate point. Probably a little more realistic but it would have been nice to have an all encompassing command for busy times.

    Thanks for following up.

  14. Anyone, anyone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhiCFdWeQfA

    Vic/FeelThere,

Since there was no response I'm going to assume the turn piece of the command is a bug. Attached is a zip file with my game log, speech log, and schedule file I used to test the issue. Also, I have included screen shots which illustrate the command as spoken (climb to 2000 and turn right to 350) and repeated in the command panel, the plane at 1850 feet (flying the runway heading of 248), the plane perfectly auto-handed to departure at 2000 feet, the plane beginning a turn at around 2500 feet, and completing its turn to 332 and climbing past 10000 feet at that heading after which I ended the session. So, as you can see the turn piece of the command is being ignored.

Interestingly, in a subsequent session I instructed the contact departure/climb for 3000 and turn to 310. The turn began at 3000 but again went to 332. Great command ... just needs a little tweak. Thanks!

  15. ... "have not found anything to communicate with the other player during the game, except texting one another" ...

Has anyone used or heard of Discord (https://discordapp.com/)? I used it a bit for GEFS, but bailed because that particular server seemed to be run by 12 year-olds on the verge of a Lord of the Flies reenactment. Nevertheless, the platform seems like it would be a viable option to communicate (text and/or voice) during multi-player action, schedule/meet up for sessions, share tips & tricks, etc. The only negative that I can think of is if used on the PC it is another window/app that would have to be open - probably not good for single monitor players (they'd probably need to use the phone app).

Any thoughts on this or other alternatives?
