Thanks to those responding. To scoobflight. I have just done yet another clean install after first removing all traces (as far as I can see) of Tracon SE from my hard drive. I disabled the firewall and anti virus programme before doing so. Then with these anti virus and firewall programmes still turned off, I installed Real Traffic as Administrator into D-my programme files-steam-steam apps-common-tracon!2012 SE. It has again created a new directory named Tracon! 2012 within the Tracon! SE directory. (i.e. D-my programme files-steam-steam apps-common-tracon!2012SE-tracon! 2012). Within that directory are two further directories, Airplanes and Databases. The original Airplanes and databases within the parent directory are the originals. I have tested this out on London sector and LAX and still get fictional planes. TO crbascott. Thanks for your interest. I will send some screen shots separately of the directories you request if that will help. Please note I have a SSD C drive with the windows operating system on it but the above files are all installed on the separate D drive. To put all my Steam files on the C drive would take an enormous amount of space and there is not a great deal to start with -256 gb. I did wonder if that could be the problem but all the other Steam stuff runs OK. I have run the original Tracon from the D drive with real traffic with no problems and indeed I have just put it back on and it runs with real traffic perfectly. (I bought SE as the information said it was better colours)

See above post: I have since added the files from the new RT download to the original databases and get the fictional aircraft and I get some aircraft but after appearing they do not move. I have now deleted the two directories Airplanes and databases and replaced them with the ones from the RT download and I get no planes at all. For some reason the RT download is not properly installing the files. I did try a different way of letting it put the files in the directory that the installer suggested they should go into and it just places them in a new directory on the D drive called Tracon 2012' and it still does not give me real traffic.

Scoobflight No luck I am afraid. Could not find a download link so bought again - $1.99 no problem Done a fresh install and installed into the Tracon 2012 SE directory but it has done exactly the same and installed the filed into a separate directory called Tracon 2012. It still does not use real traffic

Scoobflight - Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes I did " A:Data and Documents(D)/My Programme Files/steam/steamapps/common/tracon SE". It does install into that one but then creates its own directory within there called "tracon 2012". That directory contains all the real planes. I tried copying them into the original Airplanes and Databases directories but I don't get any take offs or landings then. {My computer has two drives. The operating system is on a 500gb SSD (C drive) so I put as much stuff on the D drive as possible and Tracon SE runs from the D drive perfectly well with fictional aircraft.} There is a mention above of earlier versions of real traffic having installer problems and mine is a 24.09.15 version and is Tracon 2012 rt-sp2. I cannot find how to update it and for the small cost I thought of buying a fresh version.

I have just bought Tracon SE from Steam. and installed my old Tracon RT that I bought for Tracon 2012. However I cannot get 'real traffic' and only still get the fictional ones. The version of RT is 24.09.15 and is Tracon 2012 rt-sp2 I install into /steam/steamapps/common/tracon SE and it creates a directory Tracon 2012 with all the real aircraft etc within it. When I start Tracon SE it still picks up the fictional aircraft. I have copied the contents into Tracon SE directory and replaced the fictional aircraft and database but it still picks the fictional aircraft up and they then will not move on the screen. If I revert to the Tracon SE database they do move but they are still fictional. I am wondering if there is a later version of Tracon RT with a better installer. Earlier posts indicate there is but I see no way of updating my version. Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry. I am no expert and I have had a few problems of my own. Windows 10 - you need to make sure the time and language settings are correct. The two boxes in country and region need to be set at US. Speech setting needs to be US English. Suggest you try with the box 'recognise non native accents'. Make sure your microphone is set up properly. You will need to do that in control panel. If you are a non US user you will need to change all the settings back and log out when you have finished with the sim otherwise it is all US i.e. dates wrong way round etc Hope this helps. I struggled for ages and finally got it right by juggling the settings. Feel There are right when they say problems are usually settings issues but I cannot say I found them very helpful but then again they are dealing with many things Looked at your game log and it says 'Fallback handler could not load library'. I don't know what that means but it could indicate something is in the wrong directory. Good luck

Kenneth Axi Sorry but don't know what to say to help. It was a pain in the bum getting voice recognition to work but once it did then I have had no problems. I can only suggest going through the voice training again and pronouncing as clearly as you can.

Hello Joe Thanks for taking the time to reply. You are right about the mike being plugged in before loading. I did get another message on the forum with some solutions and by doing all these things I seem to be up and running. Thanks again.

I have a new build PC running windows 10 well in excess of the specified requirements and a Logitech microphone. I have Tower 3D via Steam.The first time I used it the voice recognition worked perfectly but when I came back to it, it will not work. I have tried many times and even re-installed from Steam. I have re-booted etc. I press then left shift and it makes the pip pip noise but will not recognise my speech. Windows 10 of course does not let me change the voice from English (eng) to English (US) but that should make no difference as it worked first time. I have looked the problem up on Steam and on the Just Flight forums but none of the solutions work satisfactorily.This is not about my voice, it works perfectly on Cortana. It is about the programme and/or Windows 10.

Telnettech I am watching this thread with great interest. I could not agree more with you that a Company who sell a product bears some responsibility for putting right any issues with it. When I was experiencing problems it was other forum members who helped out and Feel There were nowhere to be seen. Its all very poor service.

Telnetech - you may want to look through earlier posts of mine, which Feel There never really got to the bottom of. Whenever I installed Tower and no matter which PC I put it on, I had this problem until I realised that Tower was installing two directories; Tower and Tower copy. I changed them over and reinstalled Real Teaffic and everything worked fine.

Sorted this! I needed to right click the start icon and select 'run as administrator'. Works perfectly now.

I have just bought Tracon 2012 by download from Just Flight. I have Tower 2011 on the PC and it works perfectly. Initially Tracon returned an error on install due to Microsoft Visual 2010 C + + but after taking that off Tracon installed and then installed its own Microsoft Visual. No the game is working perfectly at the moment and I see no reason for it not to continue. It works from the files in the second directory called tower 2011 copy, rather than from the one called Tower 2011. The desktop shortcut executes the application file in the Tower directory but it's easy of course to change that to execute the application file contained in the Tower 2011 copy directory. It logs a tower log and the only unrecognised flights are from MEX and another airport I cannot remember. But there are sufficient flying to keep me happy. Going to try Gatwick airport UK over the next few days having flown from there many times myself and then try a headset. One step at a time AST Alan

Frascada Your help once more is much appreciated but sadly the file you sent has produced no planes at even the highest setting. See log enclosed. However I have learned so much from looking at the things you have done to do a little experimenting of my own. I have mentioned in earlier posts that when Tower installed from the CD it created two directories in Programme Files. One was called Tower 2011 and the other Tower 2011 Copy. I could not understand why it did that (and still cant). The start icon that the installation placed on the desktop leads to the application file in the Tower Directory and this is the one I have obviously been playing and where I have drawn all the database files and logs from. BUT I thought I would take a look in the Tower Copy directory and I used the application file in there to start the game. Eureka!!! I am now inundated with aircraft on all three airports. I have to say I really find all this rather strange. Perhaps this may be the problem Terry Latting is working with. The next step I think is to download 'real traffic' for $1.99 and see how that goes. Then I may step up to a headset. Finally I want the EGKK Gatwick add on as its the only UK airport in the suite. Scoob Flight and Frascada I have tried this game again on fast speed (x8) for 20 minutes on Miami Airport with both sliders set to the right for max landings and take offs and all runways checked. My PC is an Intel Core I3 although the laptop is an I7 and it wont work on that either. I am using Widows 7 I have a Nvidea GE Force GT420 8mb RAM I am enclosing all the text files although for some reason it says the Tower Log is too big. Will try it on a separate post. Only two aircraft appeared from 17.00 to 17.20 TAT797 and a further one in the dying seconds as I pressed exit. Hi Fracasado. Your help is much appreciated. I will play the game again for a short while and upload the log, schedule and airports again and the airline data files. It's late now and we are 5 hours ahead of USA East Coast time so will post them tomorrow or Wednesday. I cannot imagine this is just happening to me!!!!!

Skoobflight. No haven't done that but will play it again and upload latest logs. It's late here now as we are 5 hours in front of USA East Coast time AST Alan.

Thanks for the information. I turned off both the virus checker and firewall to re-install Tower but it has made no difference. The UAC settings are such that it asks me if I want the programme to make changes to the computer when I load it and I have been checking 'YES' So its not the solution!

Frascado Thanks for your help. If I understand what you are saying, the tower log may not recognise the aircraft as the location codes (ICAO) may not be in the airports files. I may not be understanding this right. I have taken a look. The tower log shows that flights from ABQ and others were not recognised yet the airports log has ABQ and seems quite comprehensive. The airports log is of course located in a directory called databases and the tower log is in the root directory. I have uploaded the schedule, airports and tower log again. I uploaded my Tower Log a week ago and no response from Feel There, even to say simply that this is being looked at. Very disappointed.
