Ah, when I have a little more time perhaps  Meanwhile there's quite a bit of background about, in bits and pieces. Try the threads "How was FSUIPC possible", and "Will the real Pete please stand up". I'm sure there are others. As for "steam railways", they are still about you know, though diminishing. Have you none in your part of the world? There are many running here in the UK as preservation or museum lines, but my wife and I like to travel to parts of the world where they are still used, albeit not a lot these days, for 'real'. :D Regards, Pete
Nexster Posted April 28, 2004 Author Report Posted April 28, 2004 Lol, I live in USA, NYC. The only thing I know about trains and railways is amtrack  and that is just a train line
Dr Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 As for "steam railways", they are still about you know, though diminishing. Pete, I have a gift for you and others who enjoy steam trains and I offer it freely with appreciation for the gift(s) you grant me each time I fly with your FSUIPC helping in the shadows. This is an original audio composition which wraps environmental sounds and classical guitar around a steam locomotive centerpiece. Grab a picnic lunch, and join me at that boyhood creek of yesterday's youth for step back in time. I'll spare the production details. Just enjoy this freeware labor of love—a salute to the bygone days of steam. An audio snapshot. DOWNLOAD "ROLLING THUNDER" by Doc (2.2 Megs)
rickalty Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Lol, I live in USA, NYC. The only thing I know about trains and railways is amtrack  and that is just a train line  Go and ride the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railway - especially in the fall the ride up through the forests behind an old steam loco is wonderfull. Pete Dowson Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 How about creating TSUIPC for Train sim? wouldnt that be nice eh? :D Well, when I get back to my model railway (N-gauge filling a 16' by 12' room), it will be to convert my Amiga 500 based controller software to run on a PC Notebook.
