Mouse control with Track IR

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete

Great forum, glad I found it.

Q. When using Track IR, you can't click switches in the VC as your head moves the screen underneath the mouse. How difficult would it be to add functionality to FSUIPC to move the mouse also when you turn your head?

Or would it be best to just ask edimensional????

Cheers in advance.

How on Earth does FSUIPC know you've moved your head? I would have thought that was something already done by the software with your TrackIR?

If it is producing keystrokes instead of mouse operations you could use Luciano's Key2Mouse program. FSUIPC can deal with keys and buttons, but at present there's no knowledge in it at all of mice. That's a whole different program really.

Key2Mouse can be found at http://www.wideview.it/key2mouse.htm.

Regards,

Pete

Hmmmm...a set of offsets for "user head position" could be very useful, indeed. That way, when somebody sends in a log file with a problem with an FSUIPC-enabled program, the support staff can first check to see if the head position offset indicates that the user's head position is "up his... OK...never mind...

Just a spurious thought...

Cheerio
