FSUIPC 4 and WideFS 7

Pete,

I cannot install WideServer 7.

I have downloaded FSUIPC 4.04 numerous times. I extract it, then run the .exe. Screen shows up that says FSUIPC 4 .dll version 4.0 installed into FSX okay. No mention of WideServer.

I go to FSX Modules folder. FSUIPC shows as version 4.0.4.0. Wideserver.dll shows as 6.7.0.0.

The downloas page says FSUIPC will install FSUIPC4 and WideServer 7.

What am I doing wrong. Could that be causing some of my problems. I am using WS6.7 with FSUIPC 4 in FSX vs WS7 and FSUIPC4.

WideServer7 is installed when you install FSUIPC4. There is no separate module, as has been made very clear.

WideServer is mentioned on the first options tab in FSUIPC4. When it is registered you will see you can enable it there.

The current version of FSUIPC4 is 4.05 by the way. It is available above, since yesterday, but it loos like Enrico's not updated his site yet. Odd that, he's usually pretty fast.

There is NO WideServer.DLL for FSX. If you've put one in delete it please. It won't do any harm other than confuse you.

Please please do read a little about these products. There has NEVER been a WideServer.DLL for FSX, it has always been part of FSUIPC4, and it says this clearly in several places.

The download page says FSUIPC will install FSUIPC4 and WideServer 7.

No it does NOT!!! It never has. It says this:

Full release of FSUIPC 4 (incorporating WideFS 7) for use with FSX November 10th 2006 (1.55 MB)

WideServer7 is built into FSUIPC4, you will need the WideClient from the WideFS link below.
