MisterPlow Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 I downloaded an airbus add-on for FS2004 and in the readme it instructs you to go here http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html and download the latest version of FSUIPC for FS2004 (3.71). It says after you install it (which i did...and yes i followed the readme in the FSUIPC file), go into the game and register A320.gau with a certain code. The problem is there is no register an application button when i click on the FSUIPC module. Is this user error\ the wrong file...or something else? Thanks in advance :)
Thomas Richter Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Hi Try this . http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=10812
MisterPlow Posted December 17, 2006 Author Report Posted December 17, 2006 I appreciate the help but the file comes with a key inside the Readme document. My problem is, in the FSUIPC module, there is no actual button to register this file/application. There is only "Register FSUIPC" and "Register WIDEFS" (something like that). But I have taken a look at the readme that comes with FSUIPC and inside it, on page 7, it shows a picture of the module running inside Flight Simulator showing you how to register...this picture shows three buttons. The two i mentioned above PLUS an "register application" button, which is what i am missing when i run the FSUIPC module in FS2004. So....long story short...where is the "register application" button or what do i need to do for it to show up? Everytime i try loading up the aircraft i get an error about the certain guage file i am suppose to register... Thanks in advance :)
Pete Dowson Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 My problem is, in the FSUIPC module, there is no actual button to register this file/application. There is only "Register FSUIPC" and "Register WIDEFS" (something like that). Since FSUIPC 3.71 you don't need to register applications. ;-) Haven't you actually tried to use your add-in product at all? It will work with no further ado! But I have taken a look at the readme that comes with FSUIPC and inside it, on page 7, it shows a picture of the module running inside Flight Simulator showing you how to register...this picture shows three buttons. Yes, sorry, I forgot to replace the picture in the documentation in that release. I did actually remove the entire section dealing with Application Registration, but forgot about the picure. The document will be fixed in 3.72. Everytime i try loading up the aircraft i get an error about the certain guage file i am suppose to register... Ernot from FSUIPC 3.71, because there's no such checking or error message produced now. What is the message? Regards Pete
MisterPlow Posted December 17, 2006 Author Report Posted December 17, 2006 Hmm i guess i just assumed the error was a result of not registering the application. Guess im wrong  Anyway here is the error... "Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft will be disabled. File: Gauges/A320.GAU." Thank you both for you quick replies. I'll just have to check with the creator of the aircraft. Happy flying :D
Pete Dowson Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 "Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft will be disabled. File: Gauges/A320.GAU." It's a message from FS itself, and it usually means the gauge file is missing or corrupt (hasn't got the requisite exports). Did you check it was actually there, in the Gauges folder? Regards Pete
