Pete Dowson
Hi Pete and anyone wh tried to help solve my problem with FS9 loaded on Vista You've started a new thread, so it's a bit hard to keep track of what you are doing and what the problem is. still having various problems like software loads itself into c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games It doesn't "load itself" -- you INSTALLED it! If you don't tell it to install someplace else, it will install there, but you had the option at install time! can't seem to locate FS Module File It is NOT a "file". Inside the main FS folder there's another FOLDER called "modules". It must be there as it contains most of Flight sim -- many DLLs. you just need to add FSUIPC.DLLL to that collection. when I go into fs9 HELP it shows the build as 9.01. 40901 Yes, that is 9.1, fine. It isn't at all relevant. I have tried 3.764 & 3.75 to no avail How can you possibly have tried any version of FSUIPC if you can't even find the Modules folder to put it in? FSUIPC will not run unless it is installed and you cannot install it except by finding the Modules folder and putting it there! I managed to get it running ( Kind Of )when I uninstalled all addons like Traffic, scenery and third party stuff like Abacus AirBus A380 etc,but I get LIGHTNING type Flashes surrounding the Aircraft and scenery,What Now?? Nothing I know of produces lightning flashes except the thunderstorms in FS weather. Just go to the weather menu and clear the weather if you don't like them. Frank.O
Hi, I managed to get it running ( Kind Of )when I uninstalled all addons like Traffic, scenery and third party stuff like Abacus AirBus A380 etc,but I get LIGHTNING type Flashes surrounding the Aircraft and scenery,What Now?? Nothing I know of produces lightning flashes except the thunderstorms in FS weather. Just go to the weather menu and clear the weather if you don't like them. that rings a bell somewhere. Something similar came up on the german newsgroup recently. The sreen rapidly changes between correct display and "whited out" - looks like flashing. If I recall corretly it was related to pop ups Vista wanted to display (tooltips, text bubbles whatever) while FS was running full screen. But I can't be sure as I don't have Vista. Try to turn off those silly pop up messages ("You just double clicked on a text file. Do you really want to open it in Notepad?"). It may be worth a shot.
