Guest kiki
This is not fair! I think the initial copy of FSUIPC for FS2004 should remain freeware. We are not only going to pay for FSUIPC but also for all the updates of the software we have purchased from commercial developers. They want to claim there loss on the consumer... It's like drugs... first give it for free... then ask money when there is no turning back cause almost every decent add-on works through FSUIPC. Da list: Software using FSUIPC If you want to add yours, please e-mail us at enrico@schiratti.com If you experience problems with the software listed below, please contact the respective authors/companies. ActiveSky Airplan ArrestorCables Battle of the Airlines Trophy Cactus ACARS Canadair RJ-700 Project CyberAvia Boite Noire FlightDeck Companion Flightsim Control Center FlyTech Software FreeFD FS Atmosphere FSBUS FS Flight Tracker FS Metar FS Meteo FSTimeSync HomeFLY Keroplan ProFlight2000 Micropanel Studio Mission Control OpenGC Pro MFD Project Fokker Project Magenta Radar Contact S-Combo Scenery Injector (PS13) SquawkBox for FS Tyrolean Takeoff Velleman I/O Board Link ( by Johan Nauwelaertz de Agé) Visual 744 (PS13) WeatherCenter WidevieW So all the commercial developers in this list gonna ask money for an update! It's not only paying for FSUIPC... Greetz, Marc Nieuwhof
Pete Dowson
This is not fair!I think the initial copy of FSUIPC for FS2004 should remain freeware. If all you want to use it for is to run add-on applications, then it is free. PLEASE go and read the announcement again and maybe follow through some of the existing threads. I shouldn't need to repeat myself here. Please research your subject a little before posting! Pete
Guest Matt42
I agree with kiki, FSUIPC should stay freeware. Peter, You can charge extra for WideFS or choose a different module to make payware
Pete Dowson
You can charge extra for WideFS or choose a different module to make payware WideFS is the only one I am always charging for. FSUIPC in its use purely as an interface to FS will be free to users -- please go and read something about it all before you criticise. I shouldn't have to keep repeating the same information Regards, Pete
jwenting
I agree with kiki, FSUIPC should stay freeware.Peter, You can charge extra for WideFS or choose a different module to make payware If more people had made meaningful donations it probably would have. It's because of people like you who only want freebies without ever considering the effort (in both time and money) that goes into it that Pete had to decide to charge for it. But then you're probably using a pirated version of FS as well because it should be free right?
TheSpecial
Sorry guys, but I suggest you to stop the discussion about freeware/payware. I fully understand the decision of Pete. Actually it is a good decision. Payware developers are making money by using something he developed, he deserves to get money for this!
