Hi folks,

need you help to complete pushback function:

I'am using the offset 31F4 to contol pushback by some pushbuttons.

1 = left

2 = right

3 = off

Those values are working fine.

The value '0' should pushback straight. Unfortunately the aircraft does not move back. No movement at all. Does someone has soveld this already?

Best regards

You need to tell me the version of FS, and also of FSUIPC. Then I can investigate. Such information is always needed. There is a lot of difference, version to version.

Assuming you mean FSX, then I notice from the Offset Status documentation that so far no one has confirmed whether or not this offset is working. If you do really mean FSX, then I can at least mark down that values 1, 2 and 3 work, your report being the first for this offset.

I'll just try 0 now ...

... It works okay here. That's with FSUIPC 4.232 (the latest from the FSX Downloads Announcement above), and FSX + SP1 + SP2.

I can't really do much more for you until you give me more information, please.

Yeah i've just tried it too on FSX with Acceleration and 4.233 all parameters function correctly. You are entering them as x31f4 param x00, x31f4 param x01, x31f4 param x02, etc aren't you?

Hi Pete,

sorry that I did not mention the versions in my previous post.

Odd, it's always worked in FS2004 and before. I'll try here with the latest ...

... It is certainly okay with 3.783, from the Other Downloads announcement above.

One thing I just noticed though. If you read it first it contains 0. In other words it isn't a STATUS indicator, that's 31F0. If your software only sends something if it is different to what you are reading (for instance like pmSystems) then you'll need to write 3 first, then 0. But writing 0 does work, even when it is 0.

I might fix it so it reflects the status too, though that shouldn't be necessary.

Two questions..

1. If I build a mission and use FSUIPC can I create a situation where the popup menu reads, Click to request Pushback..

and then by clicking the user gets the function that normally comes with SHF P?

2. I assume this requires a licence arrangement and cost for the developer more than my purchasing a copy of FSUIPC? If so, what is that cost?

thanks!

Sorry, I really don't know anything about missions. I'm not sure how this has to do with FSUIPC?

The function which "comes with Shift P" is the FS control, or 'Key Event', normally assigned to it -- "Toggle Pushback". If FS events are available to Missions I'm sure you'll be able to figure out a way.

Currently there is no way to activate a keypress with mission scripting. So I guess the question would be..

Can FSUIPC allow me to create a hot zone within a popup menu? My goal is this series of events..

1. use mission scripting to popup a menu box

2. allow the user to click in the menu box to activate a keypress..

:)

You don't really want to use a keypress. As I thought I explained, all keypresses do is activate FS events, and they can be re-assigned by the user in any case. Surely missions can send events? Else what use are they?

No. There is absolutely nothing in FSUIPC related to mice or popups. I would have no idea how to even begin.
