And than my CHAT problem started vhen I fly on VATSIM online. When I want to connect FSCopilot chat for ATC.... Failed to create FSCopilot FSInn.Chat (CWNDFS98MAIN=65157e4) What can I do? Did I download something wrong? I don`t understand. I have a no problem last week.... You didn't delete anything before installing FSUIPC4.25, did you? Check your DLL.XML file -- it is in the same folder as your FSX.CFG file. It is a text file so you can paste is in a message here if you like. Maybe it wasn't quite right before and when you ran the FSUIPC 4.25 install is stopped the FSCopilot section, though there's no difference in that part of the FSUIPC4 install process. Maybe you installed FSCopilot after 4.20? If so, have you tried just re-installing it? Regards Pete
Bulent Piskin Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 Thank you for your answer.:) I couldn’t find DLL.XML file and FSX.CFG file in my computer. I thought I deleted it when I installed FSXin my computer so then I uninstalled everything in my computer, and then I - installed FSX deluxe Edition 10.0.6.0.9.0.5.0 - I updated X SP1 FSX V10.0.61355.0 - I installed FSUIPC4 4.2.5 and ran it, and then I saw Adds on in cockpit, so after that I - installed FSCOpilot (1.7.4982.1520) (4.29 MB) and ran it. Finally, I installed FSInn 13B2_3 (1.3.4982.15.21) then ran it... Everything is running properly except text chat for ATC :? Ok.... I installed the following on my wife’s computer 1-FSX, 2-FSUIPC4 4.2.5, 3-FSCopilot (1.7.4982.1520), 4-FSInn 13B2_3 (1.3.4982.15.21) Everything is running properly except text chat for ATC too. Could you help me with what I should I do now to make it work, because it still doesn’t? Thank you very much for your help.
Pete Dowson Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 I couldn’t find DLL.XML file and FSX.CFG file in my computer. Well, if you've run FSX there must certainly be an FSX.CFG. Didn't you look in the right place? (Documents and Settings\your user log-on name\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX, on XP, somewhere similar on Vista. - I installed FSUIPC4 4.2.5 and ran it, and then I saw Adds on in cockpit Okay, so at that time the DLL.XML was okay. - installed FSCOpilot (1.7.4982.1520) (4.29 MB) and ran it. How did you run that? I thought it was a DLL running inside FSX? Finally, I installed FSInn 13B2_3 (1.3.4982.15.21) then ran it...Everything is running properly except text chat for ATC :? Right. I am obviously misunderstanding something then. What is "text chat for ATC"? Is that something in FSX, or in FSCopilot, or something outside of FSX? Are the Add-Ons menus you expect to be present in FSX there or not? It is sounding like this is nothing to do with FSX or FSUIPC, but to do with FSInn. Have you asked their support? I really know nothing at all about these on-line programs. When you first asked here, I thought you were saying FSCopilot wasn't running, and the most obvious reason for that is that the DLL isn't being loaded into FSX -- and that is the job of the DLL.XML file, as it is that file which tells Simconnect what to load. That is how FSUIPC4 gets loaded. Regards Pete

Pete Dowson Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 1- I did search everywhere but i didn`t search the hidding files and I found it. That's from your FSX.CFG file. I didn't want to see that at all. Only the DLL.XML file which is in the same folder. However, I do notice that FSX seems to think it is loading both FSUIPC4 and FSCopilot: X\Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.zqlwhweqrliokbczhiotiuuriaebcklrnlcerioo=1 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSCopilot.dll.uuallbheqrrraequbanlklraletqtkaqqowakhnk=1 Yes. When I download and installed FSCOpilot, asked me run. I click run. I mean. But isn't that only an installer? The "FScopilot" I am aware of is an FS DL, it can't be "run" by you, only by FS. When I connected to FSX and Add on - FSCopilot - Inn Control Panel (FSINN) - You can connect on VATSIM and If you want to talk to TOWER (TEXT message) you have to click Chat button. And then this message.....Failed to create FSCopilot FSInn.Chat(CWNDFS98MAIN=655573c) Okayso FSUIPC and FSCopilot are both running. That is entirely a different matter. In that case, none of this is really anything I can help you with. There's obviously no problem in SimConnect, and FSUIPC has nothing at all to do with Internet or chat or any of that. I'm afraid you do really need to get support form the FSInn folks. Regards Pete
Bulent Piskin Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 Thanks Pete. I will try to connect to FSInn folks. Pete Dowson Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 I will try to connect to FSInn folks. Yes, I think you need to. Your DLL.XML file looks okay, but then I expected it to when you confirmed that FSCopilot was, in fact, running. Regards Pete
Bill Casey Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Sorry, only just spotted this one! It's quite a simple fix. Firstly, in your DLL.XML file make sure that Copilot is the last entry. It must ALWAYS be the last entry so if you ever install/reinstall aything else in FSX you'll need to move it again. You can also achieve this by deinstalling and reinstalling FSInn/FSCopilot. Then open FSX, launch FSInn from your Windows START menu, the programme you want to run is FSInnUI. This will launch the FSInn Control Panel. Now click on the Chat button. It'll open fine. You only need to do it this way once and after that you can run FSInn as previously from you ADD ON drop-down menu in FSX. Pete - it's simply because the FSUIPC install pops it below Copilot as do all other add-ons. It's a quirk of FSInn/FSX not your installer. It's a PITA and the most FAQ'd "feature" of FSInn!
Pete Dowson Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Pete - it's simply because the FSUIPC install pops it below Copilot as do all other add-ons. It's a quirk of FSInn/FSX not your installer. It's a PITA and the most FAQ'd "feature" of FSInn! Strange. The original version of FSUIPC4's installer use to insert itself at the top of the list, but that created problems for some other DLLs (I thought FSCopilot was one of them, actually), so I deliberately changed it, after first trying experiments with an initialisation delay to make it initialise last even if loaded first. Regards Pete
Bill Casey Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 It is indeed a strange one Sir Pete. Copilot likes to be the last entry then FSUIPC after things like PMDGs. Some people find Leveld below FSIUIPC works. On my system I find Copilot last then FSUIPC second last works best, after LevelD which is after PMDG. Some people find a different mix works BUT the common thread is always Copilot last.
Pete Dowson Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 ... the common thread is always Copilot last. Maybe I should change my Installer to check for FSCopilot, and put FSUIPC4 before it if it is there? Regards Pete
Bill Casey Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 ... the common thread is always Copilot last. Maybe I should change my Installer to check for FSCopilot, and put FSUIPC4 before it if it is there? Doing that would certainly make sure that people didn't suggest that FSUIPC had broken FSInn! It wouldn't solve everybody's dll.xml issues though since if they subsequently installed other add-ons then they'd still muck up the order of it anyway but at least they'd being addressing the issue to someone else! MS really did create a monster with dll.xml although I guess it's one that was difficult to foresee as becoming an issue until the various FSX add-ons hit the marketplace. Another "lesson learned" from FSX for when FS11 arrives one hopes!

Did you try this? 1 go to C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFDT\FSInn UI 2. Right click FSInnUI.exe and select Properties 3. Click the Compatability Tab 4. Check the box "Run this prograam as an administrator - Apply then OK 5. Run the FSInnUI.exe file (It should bring up the FSInn Client 6. Click the Chat Box and the chat box should appear. 7. close the FSInnUI Interface. now start FSX and try the chat client from within FSX.
