Hi Pete, I have a problem with wideclient/wideserver.

All things where good working until I changed the machine where WideServer was running. After I changed the computer and installed FSX and the newest version from your FSUIPC the WideClient only waits for a connection but don't really connects. (Im Licence Owner both FSUIPC/WideServer). FSUIPC & WideServer are installed as usual, are working as I can see it in the log files.

The WideClients log says:

"Try to connect server. Server "MAIN" detected at IP 192.168.1.12. OK."

and then, after a few seconds comes an error message similar like

"clients pre-configurated () not found (??), error 10060: timeout from server (or similar).

The WideServers log says only that the server was correctly started.

But not connetction is established between client and server. Could you please give me a hint?

I tried out different server names, Ip-Adresses (also manually adivsed) but nothing takes effect, no connection.

Best regards from Germany.

The Server is not seeing the Client at all. A firewall block is the most likely suspect, exactly as Jim suggests.

Pete
