selkan Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Hi Pete, I wonder if you can offer any advice on the following problem. I have FSX sp2, latest FSUIPC and use Precision Flight Controls Jet Liner Console and Yoke/rudder pedals; again latest PDCFSX.dll drivers. My problem is that when one looks at the Elevators from the outside (normally using the default 737-800), I get 'jitters' when moving the Elevator up or down. In the 'parked/middle' position they are stable and also when fully up or down. I have the Filter ticked within Flight Controls Menu, but this doesn't seem to help. These Jitters are translated into ups and downs when taking off and landing; when Auto Pilot is switched on after take off, all is O.K., and Yoke is obviously overridden by A.T. Please let me know if you require any additional information before you can comment. Thanks, Steven

Sounds like what they call a "dirty" or worn potentiometer. I have exactly the same problem, only probably worse, on my PFC cockpit, on the elevator trim. PFC have sent me a replacement pot, but I have difficulty fitting it (in the cockpit it is in a place I cannot reach, or even see) so I am awaiting an engineer's assistance for that. Contact PFC, see what they suggest. Regards Pete
Andydigital Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 There is a chance it could be axis conflict (double assignment) in another device that has the jitter and not the PFC itself, especially if the other device is assigned in the sim itself rather than through FSUIPC.
selkan Posted July 12, 2009 Author Report Posted July 12, 2009 Thanks Pete and Andydigital. I will contact PFC and see what they say.
