What to do when formatting?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Pete, I sincerely appreciate your time answering the questions of FSUIPC users. Thank you in advance.

I have a problem with my computer which will likely end in a new motherboard. Thus, another formatting will soon be necessary. I am now studying the article of John Cook on the way to configure CH Products with FSUIPC and I will try now to do it by myself. The question isonce I finish configuring my Flight sim Yoke PC and my Pedals (waiting to receive the Throttle Quadrant from California) is there any way to save all that work and retrieve it after a PC format without re-doing everything again?

Thanks once more,

Lluís

Just save your FSUIPC.INI (for FSUIPC3) or FSUIPC4.INI (for FSUIPC4) file from the FS Modules folder. It contains all of the settings you make in FSUIPC except Macros. If you create any Macros, they'll be in files you gave names for and with filetype .mcro.

Don't forget to save your FSUIPC KEY file too. That contains your registration. You'll need to re-enter it, but the details will be in their.

Copy the files to another PC or a removable disk or USB memory stick, or even write them to a CD.

Regards

Pete
