Problems with Concorde X throttles

I am using the registered version 4.57, and a CH Yoke, pedals and quadrant.-

In FSX, I disabled controls and let FSUIPC manage them.- I am using profiles and the "ShortAircraftNameOk=Substring" entry in the .ini.- I created diferent profiles for jets and prop aircraft.-

I have a profile for multiengine jets which I use with B747, B727 and B737 without any problems.-

I purchased the Concorde X from FSLabs, and within the FSUIPC box, set its axes to the mentioned profile.-

As I had problems of stucking throttle levers after some time flying, I deleted manually the Concorde reference of the profile, and created one specific to it.-

As the problems continued, I deleted that profile and tried again; strangely, with the Concorde loaded, within the FSUIPC axis assigning box, the profile square was already checked, preventing to create a new profile, which It shouldnt be as all the references to the Concorde were deleted from the .ini, and no other aircraft name in any of the existent profiles has any resemblance.- I checked then the .ini and a new entry appeared: "[Profile.]1=".- I think the levers problems are due to the Concorde X, but I am curious to know what that empty profile is for, and why I cannot create a new replacing profile.-

That's a bit out of date, and not supported. 4.60 is current, with a later update in the Updates Announcenemt in this forum.

I update to version 4,60, and could create a new profile for the Concorde.

In order to not loose all my aircrafts settings, I left a pre Concorde .ini which I saved as backup.-

At the first flight, after sometime, the throttle levers stucked, at the second flight all went OK.-

The log and the INI file you show here have no sign of any odd Profile behaviour, so did all that disappear? You said

so I was really looking for this odd line.

Could it be that somehow that file became corrupted before the problem occurred? Obviously something more than the Profile name is missing as there should never be that "1=" immediately after the "]", and a null name may well match any aircraft. I can improve the code to detect the omission of the name and delete or ignore that line, and I will do so, but first I'd like to find out how it arose.

If you think you could reproduce it, please do, after making a safe copy of your INI. Please write down step-by-step how to do it so I can try here. If I can reproduce it I can fix it.

The entry in your current INI, as shown here, looks fine:

As I said in my post, before updating to 4.6, I replaced my problematic ini with an older one I had saved as backup, and was the one I sent you.-

Fortunately I saved that problematic ini.- In this case, it happened that with Concorde loaded, and trying to assign axis, I found the profile box was already chequed, so I couldnt creat a new profile.- But when trying to calibrate, the profile box was unchecked, so it let me to create the Concorde Profile within the calibrating page.-

Fortunately I saved that problematic ini.- In this case, it happened that with Concorde loaded, and trying to assign axis, I found the profile box was already chequed, so I couldnt creat a new profile.- But when trying to calibrate, the profile box was unchecked, so it let me to create the Concorde Profile within the calibrating page.-

Okay. In fact the line wasn't as you quoted, the one I couldn't unsderstand. The wrong lines are:

[Axes.]

[Profile.]
1=

To me it looks exactly as if you deleted just the "Concorde" name before you retried, instead of the complete section, thus leaving those partial lines. I cannot think of any other possible explanation! The reason it was okay in the Calibration tab (and would have been in the Keys and Buttons tabs) is that you only had Axes defined before.

Anyway, in the next release I shall ignore or even delete such entries, even though I don't think they'll ever happen naturally.

I didnt partially delete accidentally that entry.-

The total sequence is:

Included Concorde in my jets profile

As there were problems with the throttles I deleted the entry

I deleted that false entry

Tried again a couple of times and the same happened, each time I loaded the Concorde and got in the axis assigning page, the false entry appeared in the ini.-

I think one of those two times you edited the file made a mistake deleting -- or you deleted whilst FS was still running, which could possibly cause problems too.

There again you appear to be quoting that incorrectly, which led me completely astray in the first place. In the file it is not

[Profile.]1=

but

[Profile.]

1=

precisely as if it would otherwise have been

[Profile.Concorde]

1=Concorde

before you deleted the Concorde parts.

Strange, isnt it ?

Not with my explanation, no, not really. If you really still think there's a bug and you can reproduce it, please give exact steps -- keystroke by keystroke -- and without things like presenting "[Profile.]1=" when the "1=" is a new line. If it is possible to derive such a strange result without user error I'll need to reproduce it to fix it.
