Pete Dowson Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I'm starting this topic here to provide permanent links to useful places to go to for more help and information. Please, if you know of others please do add to this thread. To kick things off, here's one website a user pointed me to recently: Flight Simulator Network: FSUIPC How-To Some of the stuff there you can find here too, but it looks useful in any case. Here's a link for Uninstalling and Reinstalling FSX properly. It doesn't seem to consider SimConnect side-by-side library complications, but maybe if you are really carefyul this don't arise: How to uninstall and reinstall FSX, by PMDG Best Regards Pete
Ian P Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 That's not something Pete or simFlight forums have any control over, unfortunately. You'd be better reporting the error to the Flight Simulator Network admins, as they're the only ones who can fix it. Ian P.
eddydde Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Thank you. I will contact the Flight Simulator Network admin as suggested.
madfred Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 I am the one who wrote the FSUIPC tutorial, and am honored to see Pete Dowson referring to it. I know the info in the tutorial can be found in this forum, but have found that my tutorial, with it's, screenshot illustrated, step by step script has helped many flight simmers that have had Pete Dowson's amazing utility, but never really managed to experience it's true value. And it only shows the tip of the iceberg ;) Here is the link to the tutorial, and here to the topic on the Flight Simulator Network website. I hope it's found useful. Btw.: In no way am I implicating to be in any way involved with Pete Dowson's FSUIPC. I only write tutorials to try and help those with limited or no experience/technical background to enjoy all that a flight simulator and it's utilities/add-on's have to offer, and found that many appreciate my scripting.
Dirk98 Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Madfred, I've registered and clicked activation on the http://www.flightsimulatornetwork.com forum, unfortunately it's not enough as I still can't open the links to FSUIPC tutorial pdf and CH Controls that I also need. I'm stuck at this message: Thank you Sabre. Your registration has been submitted. The community administrator has chosen to require validation for all email addresses. Within the next 10 minutes (usually instantly) you'll receive an email with instructions on the next step. Don't worry, it won't take long before you can post! Could you pls help me out with the above? Just in case, if you use CH joysticks and CHManager pls let me know as I've found something interesting to report about in FSX, need to rectify the finding yet with other CH users (and I've used CHCombo for 10 years already). Thanks, Dirk.
oldJ3pilot Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Have a look at Input Director. It allows use of a single keyboard and mouse for several PCs on a network. It works like a charm...I run Active Sky 2012, EFB, Plan-G, and best of all VATSIM from a second PC. No more stretching to use a separate mouse or kb. It is Free http://inputdirector.com
