hello!I'm sorry, English is not my mother's language (french).I try:I wish buy the version FSUIPC to use the "tact and toggle switch panel" from VRInsight, with MSFS9.But I'm very bad with data-processing!So,is it diffficult to "program" my TTPanel with FSUIPC?And my second question is about registration:at home, we use the family computer for Internet and many others things(but not FS9), and I use MY computer, for FS9 exclusive(so,no internet connexion)So, if I get the correct paying version, connecting a WWW-site with the family computer, can I use it with my "game-computer" for FS9?Thank you for your help!

Doesn't VRInsight provide facilities? I know it may use FSUIPC, but you don't need to purchase FSUIPC to use the VRInsight devices.

I'm afraid I don't know that panel. If it can have actions assigned in FS itself, then it can also be so used in FSUIPC. Why not install FSUIPC in any case, and read through the User Guide to see if you want to buy it or not?

You might also get better, specific help with that panel over in the VRInsight support forum.

And my second question is about registration:at home, we use the family computer for Internet and many others things(but not FS9), and I use MY computer, for FS9 exclusive(so,no internet connexion)So, if I get the correct paying version, connecting a WWW-site with the family computer, can I use it with my "game-computer" for FS9?

FSUIPC does not need an internet connection, and is not specific to a PC, only to a User. You can install it on any of your PCs, no problem.

Pete this device from VRinsight is seen as a normal joystick with buttons (no axes on the TT Panel though) so they don't provide any software for it as its not needed, the same is true for the new MS Panel too but that one does use Axes as well.

The VRinsight forum is down at the moment, they decided to do some work on the website and not inform me :(

hello!thank you for your help! Before I asked you, I asked VRInsight and the sailor where I bought the panel, and they both told me that I need a registered FSUIPC version-that's not a problem for me... I often buy addons to improve my FS9!!! The problem is: the VRInsight TTPanel is an ON\OFF switches panel with two positions for each switch. So, when I physically put a switch on "ON", it orders an action in FS9 (FOR EXEMPLE:activate fuel pump). When I want to de-activate fuel pump, I put the switch on "OFF"position, but there's no action on the fuel pump: I have to put the switch on "ON" again to de-activate(virtual action "off" in FS9).That's not logical, not practice, and it gives me a bad feeling to take me away from "reality".That's why I wish buy a registered version FSUIPC. I hope that it will correct the problem, and above all,I hope that it is not too difficult for me, to use fsuipc for programming the good parameters!!!

FS's own assignment facilities are oriented towards buttons, not toggle switches. Certainly FSUIPC will allow you to assign one action to the switch 'on' (=button press) and another to the 'off'. (=button release).

With many of FS's own controls there is only a "Toggle" version, not separate "On" and "Off" controls. Where there are separate controls you can use those, but Fuel Pump is not one. So for that you have two alternatives:

1. Program the same "toggle" control for both "on" and "off" switch actions. This works fine provided the FS switch and your real switch are synchronised -- i.e. start in the same position. It means you have to check the switches match FS before you start.

2. Program the switch to use FSUIPC offsets -- i.e. values written or bit changes directly in the data which affects FS internally. This is a little more complicated as you have to find the correct "offset" value and work out which Offset control to use. If you want to try this way you will need to also download the FSUIPC SDK package which contains the lists of offsets.

If you want help with the latter method, do come and ask.

Regards

Pete
