Roland Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Hi Pete, great that FSUIPC now enables mouselook, so I can easily deactivate all controllers in FSX. But it seems there is a little importend differenz to mouselook in FSX. I am not able to zoom with the mousewheel when mouselook-Toggle is on. Is it just me who has this problem? Maybe it's why I aktivated mousewheel-trim at simultaniously? Regards Roland
Pete Dowson Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 I am not able to zoom with the mousewheel when mouselook-Toggle is on. Does the FSX mouse look do a zoom with the mousewheel? I didn't know that! Masybe when I have another bit of free time I'll look to see if I can add that. The problem is that i've never used any of these mouse facilities before. A mouse is an unwanted invader in my cockpit, just as a keyboard would be! ;-) Maybe it's why I aktivated mousewheel-trim at simultaniously? The mouse wheel trim is a different facility. Yes, if you've enabled it, it will work in mouse look mode too, at present, because I didn't know the mouse wheel was used differently in that mode! Pete
planenut Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Just to chime in here - before the FSUIPC update, when selecting the Mouse View option within FS, the mouse wheel automatically became active as a zoom control. After the update the mouse zoom function doesn't work. Just verifying what the OP stated. Jim

Just updating the version of FSUIPC changes nothing of itself. The original FSX mouse look must be the same as it always was as nothing is touching it. Only enabling FSUIPC Mouse look will change things. But you would only do that if you had already disabled FSX mouse look completely by disabling controllers. That's the whole point (the ONLY point) of adding the FSUIPC facility in the first place! Pete
Roland Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 Hi Pete, you are right, mouselook and mousewheel-zoom enabled in FSX work normal as befor the update. And I realy like this funktion (Zoom) when I do not use things like TrackIR. To explain, I fly with a Yoke and only in 3D-Panel. With mousewheel-zoom it is very easy to zoom in to certain instruments and then dial with the mousewheel (mouselook off, of course)or klick on a switch or so. Since working with LINDA and my VRInsight MCP-Combo the use of mouseclicks is more and more unneeded. Anyway, looking around and zooming in to something of interest is pretty cool :-)

It is now added. Please download version 4.713. Regards Pete
