namron2
Please excuse me if this has already been answered bit I couldn't find it anywhere. In my modules folder, I have quite a few macro files, some of which I want to delete. I open them in notepad and I see the list of steps for each one which I would like to decipher. Is there an easy way to convert these to the actual action, they are performing? Thank you Norm
Pete Dowson
Please excuse me if this has already been answered bit I couldn't find it anywhere. In my modules folder, I have quite a few macro files, some of which I want to delete. I open them in notepad and I see the list of steps for each one which I would like to decipher. Is there an easy way to convert these to the actual action, they are performing? They are like little programs. Only a program interpreting them can "convert them to an actual action". The best you can do is read them and understand what they are intended to do. For normal button + control / kypress macros, the format is defined in the Advanced User's guide, and the list of controls is provided in the List of Controls document, both in your FSUIPC Documents folder. Other macros, those generated by the Mouse Macro facility, and unfathomable because they relate to binary addresses within gauges. They are not suitable for user editing. namron2
Thank you Peter. As another method can I assign a descriptor on each line of the macro file so that when I edit it, I can easily see the controls> example 1 flaps etc 2 anti ice etc If so could you please just give me an example of the format for that (or could I just use \\ for comments? namron2
It's ok. I was able to achieve what I wanted by just adding comments to the file. Thanks again Norm
