Driver170 Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 I got the jetmax throttle last month and always set the throttles to set in FSUIPC so they all move at once. But today i wanted to set each throttle lever to each throttle IE Throttle lever 1 in FSUIPC set to throttle 1 Throttle lever 2 in FSUIPC set to throttle 2 But when i set this up and move the levers the NGX levers are not in sync its like they both move but not at the same time? Any help appreciated cheers.

If so then they should match pretty well. you can use the "sync pos" option on the 4 throttles page to line them up more precisely. See the FSUIPC User Guide (it is covered on page 50). If you are not talking about the calibration to get the same thrust at the same positions, but only about some sort of time delay, then I'm afraid that's down to the response of the model you are using to the controls being sent to it. Try it with a default aircraft and see the difference. Pete
Driver170 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Report Posted February 6, 2015 Hi all through FSUIPC! I recalibrated my TQ its alot better almost in sync but not quite its a tiny bit out?
Driver170 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Report Posted February 6, 2015 That sync pos isn't working ?
Driver170 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Report Posted February 6, 2015 Hi pete i tried it with the default 737 and its still not perfectly synced.
Pete Dowson Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 Hi pete i tried it with the default 737 and its still not perfectly synced. How many synchronisation points did you use? Did you choose them in reasonable places for where you see the biggest discrepancies? No two axes are the same hardware-wise. It isn't possible with the sorts of components they use. If your device is really so bad then perhaps you should return it and get a replacement, or have it fixed. But you should also realise that in real aircraft the throttle positions rarely line up exactly for the exact same thrust values. They also are real hardware devices, like yours, often with even more variable components like cables and gears and other parts which waer and strectch differently, as well as being subject to normal physical environmental variations. If you want fictional perfection maybe you need to stick to the graphic ones on screen? ;-) Pete
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 I was choosing alot and it still didn't work! I was actually trying to find a real 737NG during taxi and see if there where any discrepancies between th N1 on youtube etc. Its only about .2 or .3 at the most difference
Pete Dowson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 I was choosing alot and it still didn't work! Well if it worked there'd be a series of calibration points, other than the usual minimum, centre, maximum points, recorded in your FSUIPC4.INI. All the facility does is calibrate linearly between each point so that the points match up and interpolation between them is very close. It is a well established facility used and working for years. Seems you are making an error somewhere? Or maybe you are defeating it all by choosing a non-linear slope? Best show me the throttle calibration entries you ended up with in your FSUIPC4.INI file. Just paste them into a message. Pete

Pete Dowson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Oh dear. I said ONLY the throttle calibration lines, these: Throttle1=-16057,-512,512,16380/32 Throttle2=-16384,-512,512,16380/32 SyncSlopeThrottle2=53/50 Looks like you only set one sync posiition! I've just set 4 on mine, with this result: SyncSlopeThrottle2=5/5,33/34,54/56,85/87,100/102 You can have up to 63 sync points, which pretty much only skips one or two possibile positions, so giving extreme accuracy, if you have the patience. But half a dozen should be enough for even the wonkiest axis mismatch. With only one such position set you are simply not taking much advantage of the facility! Pete
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Thats strange why it didn't work? I set quite a few and i did get a message saying would you like to over write? So i clicked yes
Pete Dowson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Thats strange why it didn't work? I set quite a few and i did get a message saying would you like to over write? So i clicked yes Calibrate throttles properly first, with the correct minimum and maximum. Then you just move both levers to each intermediate position you want to sync, clicking the Sync Pos button for each. Then OK out. There's never going to be an overwrite question for that. I don't really know what you are doing. Pete
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 I have done the calibration placed the throttles to idle and clicked set and done the same for max
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Throttle1=-16380,-512,512,16380/32 Throttle2=-16380,-512,512,16380/32 SyncSlopeThrottle2=23/22,76/74
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 it keeps over writing the first sync
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Tried it with my saitek still over writes them
Pete Dowson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 it keeps over writing the first sync It doesn't write to the INI till you press OK. Don't press OK till you've done them all! It is easy! Pete
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Right so what you are saying is, don't hit OK when using the sync pos button? But i keep getting that message after i set one or two
Pete Dowson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Right so what you are saying is, don't hit OK when using the sync pos button? But i keep getting that message after i set one or two If you OK out then next time you try to set more Sync Positions you are asked if you want to start again or just add to the ones you've set. The prompt is actually Sync settings already exist: should these be replaced? and to add more just say No. But if you simply move both levers, and hit Sync Pos for each position, there is no way you'll get that prompt. That is just a facility to enable you to start agai, if you want to (reply "Yes") or add to the existing list (reply "No"). It isn't hard! Also, it looks as if you haven't even calibrated properly yet: Throttle1=-16380,-512,512,16380/32 Throttle2=-16380,-512,512,16380/32 apart from the /32, indicating "no reverse zone", the rest are default values, set by FSUIPC as a starting point only. Pete
Driver170 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 That entry i sent was infact before i calibrated sorry pete, i forgot to calibrate after i reset it. Its all done now. I'm away out just now and will set sync position tomorrow :)
Driver170 Posted February 8, 2015 Author Report Posted February 8, 2015 Throttle1=-16302,-512,512,16383/32 Throttle2=-16384,-512,512,16211/32 SyncSlopeThrottle2=8/8,11/10,17/15,20/18,25/23,29/27,34/31,40/37,44/42,48/45,52/49,56/52,59/56,64/60,67/64,70/67,73/68,78/75,81/78,85/81,95/92,100/99,107/106,110/109,113/113,120/122,124/125,127/128

Max difference I see there is 5/128ths of the travel. Typical variation between hardware. Pete
Driver170 Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 I done a more precise sync pos! Some positions are still a bit out something like N1 44.5 N1 44.9
