TorranceR1 Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 Hi all. I haev just recently purchased a Saitek Throttle Quadrant to go with the one I already own that came with my yoke however I am having problems with setting it up in FSUIPC. When I go into the 'Axis Assignment' page in FSUIPC, click 'Rescan' and move any of the 3 axis' on my NEW throttle they aren't picked up! When I move my already owned throttle's axis' they are picked up...? I hope to hear from someone soon! Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Robbie

TorranceR1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Report Posted March 31, 2015 Hi Pete. Yes I have calibrated them through windows and everything seems to be fine. I also tried assigning them through the FSX controls section and they were also picked up although having it assigned through FSX controls isn't ideal for me as I am on Windows 8 and if I do this I will be faced with many problems! Thanks, Robbie

In that case there should be no difference in FSUIPC, as it uses exactly the same method reading the device as FS. Perhaps it isn't being given an ID number. I've heard of that problem from others, though I assume it must be new (in Win8.1 perhaps?). There is a utility you can use to assign an ID. TorranceR1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Report Posted March 31, 2015 Hi again. I actually already have the JoyID's software and I tried switching about the different ID's but still no luck. Robbie
Pete Dowson Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 Hi again. I actually already have the JoyID's software and I tried switching about the different ID's but still no luck. Hmm, I've really never heard of such a problem then. There are lots of folks with this equipment and no such problems. Are you sure the drivers are installed correctly? Perhaps you'd better show me your FSUIPC4.INI file. Paste its text content into a message here. One question before that. When you click "rescan", what happens? If nothing is jittering then it should show nothing until you move a lever. Maybe your main quadrant is jittering so badly that the addon one never gets a look-in. If so you can use the Ignore button to get past those. Pete
TorranceR1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Report Posted March 31, 2015 Finally fixed the problem. Just had to update the drivers which I probably should have done earlier! Thanks for the help Pete
