romair Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Dear Pete and P3D experts I installed P3D Version 3.0 without addon airplanes. I installed and registered your last FSUIPC 4.948 suitable for P3D-3.0 I can adapt all SAITEK controller using FSUIPC but remaining one serious trouble causing P3D to Crash. On the SAITEK throttle quadrant, the left (using for the flaps) of the three button causes P3D crash but the middle and the right one does not make any problem and also the 3 levers works well. If I de-install FSUIPC and if I switch the throttle buttons withhin the P3D menue the P3D does not Crash. I appreciate your help. Thanks and regards Roger
lancealot Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 I have a somewhat similar problem. I am using a cougar mfd and clicking on button 19 causes a CTD LIke you, removing FSUIPC and again pressing button 19 does not cause a CTD. This happens with the default aircraft F22 or any other aircraft. Also, if I use LINDA, the console shows the following errors after the crash (E) Hook Error cant find SIM1.DLL (E) Hook Error cant find VISUALFX.DLL Thanks

Also, if I use LINDA, the console shows the following errors after the crash (E) Hook Error cant find SIM1.DLL (E) Hook Error cant find VISUALFX.DLL Thanks First download this update: FSUIPC4948c_TEST.zip Then try again. I then need to see the FSUIPC4 LOG file,please. It looks like you have a bad P3D install. Pete

Pete Dowson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Hello Pete Thanks for your Support. I kopied your FSUIPC.dll into my P3D but the same result. P3d crashes when using the left button of the SAITEK throttle quadrant. Here is the log Content: The log is not so good. To start with it is a "continued" log -- you pressed the New Log button for some reason. Please do not, You've lost all the initialisation data. Second, the sim did not crash in this log, it terminated normally as you can see at the end. Thirdly, why are you logging weather and so on? That just fills up the log with irrelevant things. I don't know any way pressing a button on a joystick can crash FS or P3D. What is it assigned to do? Is it this button, pressed near the end? 150484 Button changed: bRef=0, Joy=0, Btn=1, Pressed 150484 [buttons.Maule M7 260C] 2=P0,1,C65733,0 150484 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65733, Param=0 150484 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65733 (0x000100c5), Param= 0 (0x00000000) ABORT Why are you assigning to ABORT? That presumably tells P3D to close (I've never used ABORT). Is the fact that you are telling P3D to close and it is doing so, quite normally, confusing you? Pete
Pete Dowson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Thanks for helping me with this problem. Your tireless work is much appreciated. I tried the FSUIPC test dll with the same result. Here is the log. You need to ask LINDA support what is going on at this point: Was there a cTD there too? Is it the same as the button 19 crash? 31590 LUA.0: LINDA:: Ready to go, Captain! 31590 LUA.0: LINDA:: 63758 Hook Error: can't find .1464991384 in SIM1.dll 63758 Hook Error: can't find .1464991384 in VISUALFX.dll That's very strange. It looks like there's some sort of corruption occuring there. But what is LINDA doing? I suspect it is still a P3D crash in their joystick support. Don't you have any crash data, like the module name and offset? On a CTD there will be data in the Windows Event Viewer. On the earlier report you said it crashed on pressing "button 19". What is that assigned to? Pete

There's another assignment there which is not doing anything useful:: 0=P0,0,C0,0 Control 0? There isn't one. So that button will do nothing on the Maule. Is that what you intended? Pete
romair Posted December 8, 2015 Author Report Posted December 8, 2015 Pete Thanks for your outstanding Support. I deleted the all the aircraft specific profiles awithin the FSUIPC.ini and started to apply the main rudder and button again and I tested and the problem became solved. I was really surprised because several times a made a new install of FSUPIC from the scratch but the problem caused by pressing the left button causing to Close P3D was still going. Now it Looks perfect. Can you please verifiy my last copy of the logging file and reponse if there is a wrong sentence. ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.948c by Pete Dowson *********Prepar3D.exe version = 3.0.10.14945Reading options from "C:\Program Files\Prepar3D v3\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini"Running inside Prepar3D v3 on Windows 8.0Module base=58440000User Name=""User Addr=""FSUIPC4 Key is providedWIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 47 System time = 08/12/2015 16:15:16 47 FLT path = "C:\Users\User\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files\" 47 ------ Module Version Check ------ 47 acontain.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 api.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 controls.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 fs-traffic.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 G3D.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 sim1.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 visualfx.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 weather.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 window.dll: 3.0.10.14945 47 ---------------------------------- 47 Trying C:\Program Files\Prepar3D v3\Modules\SimConnectP3D2.dll 47 Found it: trying to connect 62 FS path = "C:\Program Files\Prepar3D v3\" 203 ---------------------- Joystick Device Scan ----------------------- 203 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant 203 Manufacturer= Saitek 203 Vendor=06A3, Product=0C2D (Version 2.1) 203 Serial Number= Saitek 219 Product= Pro Flight Cessna Yoke 219 Manufacturer= Saitek 219 Vendor=06A3, Product=0BD3 (Version 1.22) 219 Serial Number= RD008479 219 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals 219 Manufacturer= Saitek 219 Vendor=06A3, Product=0763 (Version 1.0) 219 Serial Number= Saitek 219 Product= Pro Flight Cessna Trim Wheel 219 Manufacturer= Saitek 219 Vendor=06A3, Product=0BD4 (Version 1.6) 219 Serial Number= RD003754 219 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 234 LogOptions=F0000000 00000011 234 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 234 ------ Setting the hooks and direct calls into the simulator ------ 234 --- CONTROLS timer memory location obtained ok 234 --- SIM1 Frictions access gained 234 --- FS Controls Table located ok 234 --- Installed Mouse Macro hooks ok. 234 --- Wind smoothing fix is installed 234 --- All links okay (except older global weather setting method) 234 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 234 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 234 Trying to use SimConnect Prepar3D 8094 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 8094 Running in "Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D® v3", Version: 3.0.3.0 (SimConnect: 3.0.0.0) 8094 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 8094 FSUIPC Menu entry added 8109 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y 8109 C:\Users\User\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files\Maule LSZH RWY28.fxml 8109 C:\Program Files\Prepar3D v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\Maule_M7_260C\Maule_M7_260C.air 8265 Memory in use: 735Mb, Avail=3361Mb 68531 Memory in use: 1669Mb, Avail=2427Mb 71640 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 72609 System time = 08/12/2015 16:16:29, Simulator time = 16:15:19 (15:15Z) 72609 Aircraft="Maule M7 260C" 76984 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y 77703 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 80515 Starting everything now ... 80562 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 81875 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 87078 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65758 (0x000100de), Param= 0 (0x00000000) FLAPS_INCR 87109 *** AXIS: Cntrl= 65765 (0x000100e5), Param= -16384 (0xffffc000) AXIS_THROTTLE_SET 87125 *** AXIS: Cntrl= 66291 (0x000102f3), Param= -16384 (0xffffc000) AXIS_PROPELLER_SET 87125 *** AXIS: Cntrl= 66292 (0x000102f4), Param= -16384 (0xffffc000) AXIS_MIXTURE_SET 90625 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 66416 (0x00010370), Param= -1 (0xffffffff) PAN_VIEW 91078 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65567 (0x0001001f), Param= 0 (0x00000000) VIEW_MODE 94578 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65759 (0x000100df), Param= 0 (0x00000000) FLAPS_DECR 95672 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65759 (0x000100df), Param= 0 (0x00000000) FLAPS_DECR 96781 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65759 (0x000100df), Param= 0 (0x00000000) FLAPS_DECR 106437 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 65732 (0x000100c4), Param= 0 (0x00000000) EXIT 107078 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y 107078 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 29 secs = 29.0 fps 115781 === NOTE: not calling SimConnect_Close ... 116781 System time = 08/12/2015 16:17:13, Simulator time = 16:15:47 (15:15Z) 116781 *** FSUIPC log file being closedMinimum frame rate was 27.8 fps, Maximum was 29.9 fpsMinimum available memory recorded was 2110MbAverage frame rate for running time of 34 secs = 26.5 fpsMemory managed: 16 Allocs, 16 Freed********* FSUIPC Log file closed *********** Again thanks and regards Roger
Pete Dowson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I was really surprised because several times a made a new install of FSUPIC from the scratch but the problem caused by pressing the left button causing to Close P3D was still going. Reinstalling FSUIPC never deletes or changes any of your settings. I'd be in lots of trouble if that happened -- folks spend hours getting their stuff just right! To install from scratch you would need to delete all files in the Modules folder, or the whole folder itself. Can you please verifiy my last copy of the logging file and reponse if there is a wrong sentence. Looks okay. You may want to go into the Logging tab next time and turn off the logging options you no longer need. Pete
romair Posted December 8, 2015 Author Report Posted December 8, 2015 Dear Thanks for immediate response. I just can confirm that I have never overwritten the FSUPIC installation with a re-install. I really deleted the modul folder first the be empty . Due to the newly installed P3D Version 3.0 at that time the modul folder contained only the FSUPIC installation. I have already turned off the logging tab. Anyway have many thank to push me to observe und to send you the logging file which I had only recognised due to your high expert knowledge. regards Roger
Pete Dowson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I just can confirm that I have never overwritten the FSUPIC installation with a re-install. I really deleted the modul folder first the be empty Well, it is magic then, because FSUIPC can only ever get those assignments from an existing settings file, and only in the Modules folder. Pete
lancealot Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Looks like the problem I had has disappeared (I hope). Only thing I changed was I installed a 10 port usb device to replace a 6 port unit and a 4 port unit that I had daisy chained together. Not sure if it had anything to do with it. Thanks for all your help. All the best to you. Lance
