SenorRaj Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Hi Pete, I'm sure i just need to assign axes through Windows after calibrating these pedals. However I've become so used to doing all my assigning and calibration in FSUIPC. Is ignoring them in FSUIPC fine or would it better to just send them straight to Windows in FSUIPC. Same difference isn't it. I apologise if you're not familiar with the pedals but all the calibration is stored on a chip in the pedals. Sorry for dumbing down your Saturday! Paul

What is wrong with assigning pedals in FSUIPC if you assign everything else in FSUIPC? You should disable controllers altogether in FS if you assign in FSUIPC, in any case. I assume you have some sort of problem, but since you don't say what it is I can't really help. Sorry for dumbing down your Saturday! I was away Saturday and Sunday in any case. Pete

Pete Sorry, my god, I must have been exhausted when I sent that email. I was referring the MFG Crosswinds. All is good, it was actually a setting in my BIOS (Intel USB 3 XHCI) that I had to disable to get his own calibration software to stop crashing and just work. I can still assign of course and fine-tune the calibration in FSUIPC. Sorry for posting such a pointless message. I need an editor for posting before my morning coffee!
AlanK918 Posted May 28, 2016 Report Posted May 28, 2016 Can someone please assist me. I am new to FSX. I installed FSUIPC and set up the Yoke and buttons. FSUIPC responded to the buttons etc. I purchased the Crosswind peddles and plugged them in. This wiped out all the FSUIPC setting and is not listed in the settings tab of FSX. FSUIPC is still listed on the task bar in the A2A cockpit. I really need some help and not sure where to go. Thank you... Lost and Confused
Thomas Richter Posted May 28, 2016 Report Posted May 28, 2016 Hi, in case they are not listed in FSX then they will not be recognized in FSUIPC as it uses the same Windows api. As the manufacturer says, 12bit "plug and play" ( HID ) driver, compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 * they should work without any additional driver. First step is to check they are seen in Windows Game-Controller-Settings and that you can calibrate them their. If they are not seen at all in Windows then there must be a fault. Also make sure you use the correct USB port, some hardware that is USB2 doesn't work connected to USB3 (blue socket) ports. Thomas

As well as what Thomas said, I'm puzzled by what you mean "wiped out all the FSUIPC setting? Your settings are stored in your FSUIPC4.INI file and can only be changed by you. Can you describe in more detail what you really mean by "wiped out". What are the symptoms? Pete
