ahhquecaray Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 I had a very old installation of FS9 that had an old KEY that is no longer active, so, I purchase a new key for FSUIPC 3 and tried to installed but after that when I go to the MODULES menu and open FSUIPC still shows as unregistered and when I make it write to the log the log shows only the information from the previous registration that is no longer active, Something is stuck in my system that still has the reference to the old KEY and can't be overwritten. I have even installed a new instance of FS9 from scrap and that one even after I run the installation for FSUIPC it still shows the old key, so is nothing within the FS9 but some sort of register or something stuck. Any advice?

The registration data is only EVER stored in the FSUIPC.KEY file, which is a text file within the FS Modules folder. There are no copies elsewhere, and that file is rewritten if you re-register. Since registrations never become inactive, you evidently have something else going on there. Please show me the complete log file, with FS closed. Pete
Thomas Richter Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 Hi, did you update to latest FSUIPC3 version, you have to since 2016? Thomas
Pete Dowson Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 Yes, Thomas, but he's saying his old registration isn't working. Pete
Thomas Richter Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 Hi, in case neither old nor new key is working, did you check your PC date is correct set? It has to be later than when you bought either key. Thomas
