707FAN Posted September 26, 2016 Report Share Posted September 26, 2016 Steve I don't think it matters much as long as the headset has a boom mike for convenience. I have used a Plantronics one that I paid about $30 Aust. for. The ear foams failed and can't be replaced. I then used a AUD 9.00 unit from the local supermarket that I used for Skype when overseas and it works fine. In my opinion you don't need to spend a lot of money for a headset. Both mine are the type with jack plugs on the end & plug into the sound card. The hardest bit is to get the speech to come out of the headset and the engine noise to come out of the speakers.
