That's because for some odd reason you were posting in one of the subforums, not the main support forum. All the entries in the main support forum have a title and they tend to be all new topics, specific to a support question.

Well, the first problem is that you are using an outdated unsupported release. Before asking for support you should always check to see that you are up to date. The current version is 4.958.

The only error I see is an entruy you've made in the [Programs] section of the FSUIPC4.INI file

    21653 FSUIPC couldn't run: "C:\" [Error=5]

That doesn't stop FSUIPC working, it just means your OpusFSI server program won't load.. Error 5 is a Windows error meaning "Access Denied", so you've got some permissions problem with that folder or file.

Thanks Pete.....

My problem is then with widefs.  Non of my clients are connecting.  They were.  From time to time I get this problem and can never remember how it was solved.  I'll start with updating fsuipc.  Network is fine.

For help with that you'd need to show me the WideServer.log and the WideClient.log files. An updated FSUIPC won't change it.

Assuming that IP address is correct (check), it looks like a firewall type block on one end or the other, probably the server.

Bang on Target Pete!  I restored files from a month back and unknowingly the firewall was operative.  Many thanks
