FSX Crash on Exit (FSUIPC4.dll unloaded)

Recommended Posts

I recently updated to the most recent version of FSUIPC (4.961) and now, my FSX crashes routinely on exit with the following error:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    BEX

I have also recently updated to the most recent version of GSX from FSDreamteam (a couatl updated was released on 2-5-17), Active Sky 2016 (installed in a network configuration through SimConnect) and I installed the recent PMDG release of the 747-400 QOTS II.  I'm not sure where to begin to trouble shoot the problem and the crash happens with other aircraft add-ons as well (Aerosoft A320, PMDG 777) and also without Active Sky running.  I have attached a copy of my FSUIPC4 log, install log, and the .ini file so hopefully you can advise if it is FSUIPC or perhaps something else causing the problem.  Thanks in advance for any assistance and my system specs are:

Windows 7 64-bit w/SP1, 16 GB of RAM, Intel I7 4790K, FSX w/Acceleration in DX-10 Mode

Yes, this is occurring AFTER FSUIPC has closed normally hence:

Please see the pinned thread at the top of the forum. I cannot reproduce the problem here and neither can my colleague Thomas, so we need volunteer testers to try things.

STOP PRESS: I just realised: you are using FSX. This is the very first report of this error with FSX! Up to now it looked specifically P3D version 3, so we've only been looking in areas which are different for P3D! This makes it of wider scope!

Not sure to be pleased or horrified at this.

Pete

Hi, can I please ask if you have updated and/or installed the latest version of GSX or FS DreamTeam's addon manager recently too?

Thanks

Yes, I have updated two FSDreamteam products: KMEM as well as the latest version of GSX with the GSX vehicles update.  Looking at my past downloads, I used the setup_addonmanager(X) from FSDreamteam on 2/2/17.  Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Chad

Thanks for confirming this. There are discussions being had on the FSDT forums after a broken update was rolled out. Wondered if your problems were triggered after updating FSDT too.

The crash on Exit you get may be the same as those crashes on exit which seem to somehow give rise to the crash on a subsequent startup, which is what we are primarily trying to solve, being the much more major problem.

I would hope that one of the interim test versions I have now produced would get rid of your problem on exit, but I have no way of knowing. If you want to tr, see the pinned thread at the top of the Forum and send me an email.

I'm having to try to get some sleep now, so there will be a delay I'm afraid.

Just to add my experience here Pete. I also run FSX and have been getting the FSX crash on exit. I haven't

taken the time to check the error log and am about to leave on a trip to Australia for 2 weeks so can't take part

in the troubleshooting. Running the latest FSUIPC4.
