Hi John,

Just yesterday I started getting crashes in my sim (P3Dv4). This message displays and is the only indication I get. Could you help me interpret what it is saying. Am I on the right lines when I suspect my VA Acars system is causing the crash.

In between CTDs I completed a flight without logging on to the Virtual Airline and had no crash.

The message:

FSUIPC. FSUIPC Exception: FSUIPC Error”2 FSUIPC – Err-NOFS. Cannot

find FSUIPC or Wide FS running on this machine.

At FSUIPC. FSUIPC Connection. Open (Byte Class instance, Int32

Required Flightsim Version

atFSUIPC.FSUIPCConnection.Open0

atVa Base Live. FSUIPCData.Open FSUIPC0

Thanks for any guidance.

That's an error generated by VABase because it lost its connection to the sim - it's pretty much impossible for it to cause the crash since it's running in a separate process.

Cheers!

Hi William,

Certainly nothing to do with FSUIPC - contact the support forum for whatever is producing that log file extract (VABase / VA Acars).

Looks like its trying to find FSUIPC but can't - maybe a (unregistered) version is required - have you installed one?

Cheers,

John

John,  Yes I have a registered version of FSUIPC (many, many years). Have been running this VA software for about a month and crashes have only just started. Will contact them.

So Luke are you saying that this va base almost certainly  cannot cause the crash?

Yes, it's a separate process. The sim is crashing, and then it's triggering this error message in the ACARS software when it tries to reconnect.

Cheers!

Luke
