rickalty
Hi Pete - I just went ahead and downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC, and registered it. Now, when I start MSFS, I get an error message that says "WideFS requires FSUIPC version 2.30 or later. It can carry on but may not provide consistant access to FSUIPC variables". Pete Dowson
Hi Pete - I just went ahead and downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC, and registered it. WideFS is no longer freeware, and you cannot use Version 5 WideFS or earlier with FSUIPC 3 or later. You need WideFS 6 and it is not free. Sorry. rickalty
Dammit, I should have stayed w my older FSUIPC :-( Actually, since I've decided to go with a hardware radio panel attached to my main computer, I don't need WideFS anyway, so I'll just delete it. rickalty
Since I'm not using WideFS, and it's not working with my registered FSUIPC anyway, how do I go about uninstalling it? Can I just delete the dll, or would that leave FS or FSUIPC confused and lost trying to find it ? Richard

Can I just delete the dll, or would that leave FS or FSUIPC confused and lost trying to find it ? Just delete WideServer.DLL. FSUIPC doesn't know or care about it -- it's the other way round, WideServer needs FSUIPC. Regards, Pete
