rdlfrance Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Hello , I received the cockpit trainer from VRinsight and wanted to use MSFS 2020 on windows 10. I found out that it didn't work with Windows 10. To test at least my cockpit I installed the cd version I had SFX. Working ok, but when I download the registered version of FSUIP (FSUIPC4) and start up FSX the start screen of FSX come up and shutdown directly. I'm not a expert and can't figure out the problem. Like to have a solution because I paid a lot of money for the cockpit and wanted to replace the real cockpit of the chessna fusilage I have. Thanks in avance!! See if these files are there: FSUIPC4.LOG FSUIPC4 Install.LOG If either or both are there please show us them -- you can attach them, in ZIP files if necessary for size. Also, please check Windows' Event Viewer (type event viewer in the search edit box bottom left corner). See if there's an error logged in the Windows Logs-Application section. If so please copy the details and paste them in a message here. Pete
Thomas Richter Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 Hi, make sure you installed at least SP1 for FSX, better SP2, for FSX, the natural FSX installation will not work with FSUIPC4. Thomas

Pete Dowson Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 As Thomas suggests, you need to update your FSX installation. There were many bugs in the original. You can get both SP1 ans SP2 updates from the Microsoft websites. Here for example: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8986 Pete
