Did you try clicking Yes/ Oui to allow FSUIPC to run? If not, try that. It should then be ok. If you still have difficulties, please see 4 minutes ago, Pat Mussotte said: I reinstalled my FSX If you have re-installed, make sure you have installed both service packs, SP1 and SP2.
Pat Mussotte Posted May 8, 2021 Author Report Posted May 8, 2021 First of all thank you John for your quick reply! Yes I tried clicking YES to allow FSUIPC to run, but after that action FSX(Steam and not Beta) closed. I read the post about mistrusts modules. I checked the registry for the correct value of 0x23c00, and in my FSX.cfg there was already in "TRUSTED" this line: Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.cuwbbchunnohotzzzwteeerwwzrtktkwlrttbuhz=1. If I try to change this line for this one: Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.rooctoroqihwhtikitinolctiqihrnaqeqkbqcor=-1, FSX add "Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.cuwbbchunnohotzzzwteeerwwzrtktkwlrttbuhz=1" and the fsx.cfg shows both lines. The service packs, SP1 & SP2, you're talking about are in "Legacy interfaces", I presume. In my FSX Steam I have the folder FSX-SP1 and FSX-XPACK. I don't knox if XPACK is the same as SP2.

You said you'd reinstalled FSX but I think you mean FSX-SE, right? So don't worry about those. Two things to look for: 1. Is there an FSUIPC4.LOG file in the FSX-SE Modules folder? If so please show it to me. 2. Open the Windows Event Viewer (in Control Panel) and scroll through the Windows Logs - Application entries to see if there is a crash report referring to FSX.EXE. If there is, please show the details from that. you can cut and paste from there. Pete

Pete Dowson Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 1 hour ago, Pat Mussotte said: 282 --- SimConnect intercept for texts and menus option is off 282 --- All links checked okay 282 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 282 Could not link to all needed SimConnect facilities [code 0] This shows a problem with your FSX-SE installation -- at least on of the essential DLL modules within FSX is corrupted. If the log is as far as it got before it crashed, then it really is serious. 1 hour ago, Pat Mussotte said: From Event Viewer the last 4: Those entries aren't relevant as they don't show the FSX.EXE crash. You need to scroll further to find the FSX.EXE crash corrsponding to the point in the Log where things terminated -- 09/05/2021 at about 08:47. If there's no crash logged, if FSX just crashed silently, then that's even more serious. It is important to note, however, that those 4 entries in Event Viewer are referring to crashes in the SimConnect installer which you were trying to install (i assume). You shouldn't need to install anything other than what is automatically installed by the FSX-SE installer. Possibly other programs may want legacy versions of SimConnect, but not FSUIPC. But it is a concern that even the installer crashed! I think you need to consider uninstalling FSX-SE completely and re-installing. You might try the later Microsoft-released Beta version on Steam (63003). That includes a number of improvements, but doesn't support some of the hacked features of FSUIPC. Pete
Pat Mussotte Posted May 9, 2021 Author Report Posted May 9, 2021 Suddenly I remember I"tweaked" a little bit🤣 fsx to make my TIR5 working. So I did that procedure: TrackIR fix Well after talking with fearless frog there are some more steps that I ommited. 1. You need to take the Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll out of: X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib\managed\Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll Rename it simconnect.dll and replace the exsisting file in the FSX root folder 2. Take sample.exe.manifest out of: X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib\Sample.exe.manifest Rename it simconnect.manifest and put it in your track IR folder: X:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\simconnect.manifest Launch FSX Steam edition! Works for the two of us. Fortunately I kept the original SimConnect.dll file located in FSX-SE folder so reverted back and now erething is OK and surprise my TIR5 works too. Anyway thank you very much for your support which is awesome. Best regards Pat
