kdavis30 Posted May 20, 2021 Report Posted May 20, 2021 Good morning, Is there a key shortcut you can assign with FSUIPC 7 for FS2020 to squawk VFR (1200) in your transponder? Some aircraft have buttons built in to do this, but the one I fly the most, the C152, doesn't. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Regards, Kevin Davis

The transponder setting is held in offset 0354, in 2-byte BCD format. So you can assign a button or key press to the FSUIPC added control Offset Word Set, giving 0354 as the offset value and 0x1200 as the parameter. John
Jorge Semeria Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Good morning everyone! is there a way to assign a event to a key to control xpdr mode on, C, alt? Thanks!
John Dowson Posted March 8, 2022 Report Posted March 8, 2022 If you mean the transponder state, this is held in offset 0x0B46, where 0 = Off, 1 = Standby, 2 = Test, 3 = On, 4 = Alt, 5 = Ground. So you can assign to write to that offset with one of the Offset Byte controls, depending on what you want to do. Alternatively, try searching the MobiFlight HubHob preset list to see if there is a preset for this for the aircraft you are using and assign to that. John

John I can't use an offset since I am only able to write a fsuipc control number (5 digit decimal), with a value. Is there a control number to select a transponder state? thanks! John Dowson Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 You can use the control number of the Offset Byte control that you want to use to write to offset 0x0B46, with the appropriate parameter - see the Advanced User Guide on page 33. Otherwise, if there is a custom control number for the aircraft you are using, yo can also use that. Or if there is a preset available, yo can calculate the control number of the preset and use that, although it is better to use the preset name itself via offset 0x7C50. John
