Skino2412 Posted December 2, 2021 Report Posted December 2, 2021 I am very excited about the new concept of the demo file. I have already learned a lot from it. Thanks a lot for that. But some things are not working for me (Win10/FSX/current FSUIPC Paidversion). I can read all radio frequencies but not write back changed ones. On the Fuel side I can not read the values, all fields remain empty. No matter which aircraft. All other functions work. What could be the reason for this? I just downloaded the latest version again but no change. Peter
Paul Henty Posted December 2, 2021 Report Posted December 2, 2021 Hi Peter, I don't know what could be causing this. It's working here with FSX/Windows 10. Sometimes third-party add-on aircraft don't use the standard FSX data for radios and fuel, but I see you've tried many aircraft. I assume that includes the default aircraft. Could you please enable the IPC Read and IPC Write logging in the Logging tab of FSUIPC. Then try the Fuel and radios again, shut down the sim and paste the log here. The log will be called FSUIPC4.Log in the Modules folder under the main FSX folder. That might give me some clues. Paul
Skino2412 Posted December 3, 2021 Author Report Posted December 3, 2021 Thanks for the quick reply. FSX does not have any addons, default installation. I will create the log and post it here. I have tried different things. Start FSX as admin or not, in compatibility mode (Win7 and Vista), Fsuipc registered and not registered and an older version. All works in your example file, only Fuel read and write and set the radio frequency not. However, the radio frequencies are read out correctly. FSX is FSX Gold with Servicepack 2. ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.976 (15th January 2021) by Pete Dowson ********* Windows 10 Home 64 Bit reported as Build 19043, Release ID: 2009 (OS 6.1) fsx.exe version = 10.0.61472.0 Reading options from "C:\FSXGold\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Running inside FSX on Windows 7 Module base=55E20000 User Name="" User Addr="" FSUIPC4 not user registered WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 16 System time = 03/12/2021 11:51:07 16 FLT path = "C:\Users\Löwenrudel\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\" 16 ------ Module Version Check ------ 16 acontain.dll: 10.0.61472.0 16 api.dll: 10.0.61472.0 16 controls.dll: 10.0.61472.0 16 fs-traffic.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 G3D.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 language.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 sim1.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 visualfx.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 weather.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 window.dll: 10.0.61472.0 32 ---------------------------------- 563 Trying to connect to SimConnect 10.0.61259.0 ... 610 ... Paul Henty Posted December 3, 2021 Report Posted December 3, 2021 Hi Peter, The log doesn't show any IPC Read or Writes. I think it's because you made a new log and posted the wrong one... Quote [Log closed by user request, and continued in new file] Please can you try again. With the logging (IPC Read/Writes) enabled in FSUIPC: Start FSX Use the example program to read the Radios Try to change a radio Try to read the fuel Close FSX. That should get the proper log. Paul
Paul Henty Posted December 3, 2021 Report Posted December 3, 2021 Hi Peter, The log shows that it's not even attempting to read the fuel tanks or write the radios. I had a good look at the VB project and all of the event bindings were messed up. I don't know why it worked okay on my PC here. I've gone through and fixed them all, so please get version 1.2 from the website. Everything should work okay now. http://fsuipc.paulhenty.com/#downloads Sorry for the inconvenience. Paul
skino Posted December 3, 2021 Report Posted December 3, 2021 Perfect. Thanks very much. When I get home I will try it and give you feedback.😃
Skino2412 Posted December 4, 2021 Author Report Posted December 4, 2021 Everything works perfectly in the new version. Thanks for your effort and dedication to the less talented programmers like me. 👀
