John Dowson Posted October 16, 2023 Report Posted October 16, 2023 1 hour ago, DrDave- said: Is myevents.txt the same as events.txt installed with FSUIPC7? Now thought that's not true. You would have stated to update events.txt. Please read, or at least consult, the provided documentation before asking such questions - this is all explained in the documentation (WASM section in Advanced User guide). The events.txt file is installed (by default) and contains the MobiFlight presets (see https://hubhop.mobiflight.com/presets/). If you are defining your own presets, you should add them to the myevents.txt file. You can add them to the events.txt file, but this file will get updated/replaced when you re-install/update FSUIPC7 and you will lose them. 1 hour ago, DrDave- said: Missed 2 Cockspur variables assigned to 1 LVar. I still don't understand what this means.... 1 hour ago, DrDave- said: In the C510, GENERAL ENGINE STARTER ACTIVE is used to turn the started buttons on and off. The GENERAL ENGINE STARTER ACTIVE (indexed) simvar is provided by the MSFS SDK and is NOT used to turn the starter buttons on/off, as it is read-only. It just tells you the state of these buttons. See https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Programming_Tools/SimVars/Aircraft_SimVars/Aircraft_Engine_Variables.htm : GENERAL ENG STARTER ACTIVE:index True if the indexed engine (see note) starter is active. NOTE: This is available in multiplayer to all near aircraft. See here for more information: Note On SimVars In Multiplayer. Bool As I said a week ago: Quote For the engine starters, you can use the standard controls Toggle Starter1 and Toggle Starter2.
John Dowson Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 Note that you can now use Input Events (or lvars) for most controls. However, I am still having issues finding out how to assign to the fuel cut-off triggers, below the throttles. These trigger the events TOGGLE_FUEL_VALVE_ENG1 and TOGGLE_FUEL_VALVE_ENG2, but sending these (or the SET_FUEL_VALVE_ENG1/2 controls) doesn't seem to do anything. There are also no Input Events or lvars for these triggers (that I can see). Further info in this topic: John
