chasbruce Posted yesterday at 12:45 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:45 PM Hi, I am running MSFS 2020 but using older sw, namely Project Magenta logics/systems which runs almost entirely off fsuipc. I have latest Navigraph data installed. I have tried a few ILS approaches and the Flight Director guidance is way off the ILS pointers, the latter are correct. I couldn't think why (magnetic variation?) then I remembered Makerwys - would that be the likely reason and should I run it or do you have another clue? Thanks! Charles

This depends on where the FD is getting the ILS data. You could try setting the follwing ini parameter in FSUIPC to see if that helps: Quote AdjustNavForMagVar=No: When set to Yes, the Nav1/2 values in offsets 0x0870 &7 0x0844 will be automatically adjusted by adding the magnetic variation held in offsets 0x0C40 & 0x0C42. See It may be worth asking Project Magenta support about this as that post was from Enrico, the author of PM. 20 hours ago, chasbruce said: I couldn't think why (magnetic variation?) then I remembered Makerwys - would that be the likely reason and should I run it or do you have another clue? Is Navigraph using the output from MakeRwys? Note that I do not support MakeRwys, but the source is available if needed: Quote Note that MakeRunways is now closed for further development, as Peter Dowson, the original author of this product, has now retired. However, you can download the source and update for your own needs. The source code for this utility is available on GitHub at the following location: https://github.com/jldowson/MakeRunways/. If you would like to take over development and support of this product, please PM me via the support forum (SimMarket)(John Dowson). John Edited 8 hours ago by John Dowson Further info added
