Hi, sorry to hear that, but please note the below about what FScene does:
FScene X Ground Textures replace the defaults and act exactly like the defaults. They consequently will make place for all other add-ons where needed .
-
- FScene X does not affect the use of add-ons for aircraft, roads, rivers, traffic, clouds and autogen, since it replaces only the ground textures in Flight Simulator. - FScene X works perfectly with add-on mesh terrain scenery since it replaces the ground textures in Flight Simulator and, just as the default textures will flow to match the ups & downs of the terrain, so will FScene X.
- FScene X works perfectly with custom airport sceneries - it will only affect the ground outside the perimeter of airports. All the default airports & any custom ones you have installed will appear exactly as intended.
- FScene X is carefully designed to work with the default autogen in Flight Simulator. It also has the added advantage that its enhanced 3D appearance can give the ground a much more 3D appearance even from altitudes where the autogen is no longer visible.

It's a very old flight simulator issue. There's no solution.
Wish you happy flights anyway.

Hi,
FScene4X does not overwrite of move terrain.cfg.
Maybe the makers of FTX global can help you.
terrian.cfg normally is found in the default FS folder:
Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X

Hi Duncan,
FSceneX is not meant to work in FS2004.
sorry to hear that, yes, that might be the cause indeed.
Try lowering the use of autogen, weather, clouds etc.
It's not a FScene issue anyway.

The safest way is to re-run the GEX programs and re-install their textures after installing FScene.
(FScene replaces the default FSX ground textureus)

All FScene packs for Prepar3D are fully compatible with Prepar3D Version2
Note: When installing FScene (P3D) into P3D v2 Change the destination folder into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
(or the modified install location)

Hi Uwe,
it looks like you have some "working-textures" in the pack.
Could you please make a screenshot of the location from higher altitude for me?
Also please give me the coordinates.
It would help me to find which bmp's are involved.
Thanks,
ruud

You are missing a lot of textures. Maybe you deleted the original World/Textures folder. Never do that!
Make the advised Backup and donot change anything in World /Textures folder.
After that you can install FScene.

Good to hear that you can live with that Sonja.
ruud

No, sorry.
If you have special Europe textures. You could install FScene first and the Europe addon as second.

Did you run the install as Administrator?

Glad you found it

As i wrote before:
This is quite exceptional.

Hi,
i'm somewhat confused. I to-day bought the TotalPack from FSPilotshop to
be sure we talk about the same version.
The installers work perfectly here on WinXP/Win7/Win8.
1. did you fly and try to see differences in the ground-scenery?
2. did you perform a normal install of the FSX flight Simulator, or did you
maybe install into a folder selected by yourself?
I wish i could help you out!
3.Please have a look in folder ..:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\
Check if you find a great lot (over 4000) of *.bmp files there.
Let me know here, could help others!
