[FScence X airport bitmaps]

Hi,

I purchased this add-on recently for FSX. The textures have made an overall improvement, but has also created a small issue. Airports in sand/desert area's are now green and stand out far to much from their surroundings. How can I replace these with bitmaps to originals or a more blended colour?

Note: The default airport grounds will now stand out far to much from their surroundings in eg. southern Europe and other

areas where the FScene ground textures improved the landscape.

That can't be helped alas.

[Strange Problem]

I purchased FScene for FS9 about a year ago from FlightSim.com. I've been real happy with it so far. Recently I had to replace the hard drive in my computer so everything is being reinstalled. I am running Windows 7 32-bit on the machine. The problem I'm having with FScene is the airport environs (areas that should be grass) are all black. They look the same from the air as on the ground. This seems to be just close proximity to the aircraft and the black moves with me as I taxi or takeoff. Any suggestions on that one? I've tried reinstalling several times and all that seems to happen is it changes the black areas to white. But no other scenery in the areas surrounding the aircraft. Everything on this computer is exactly the same as it was on the old hard drive so I'm a little perplexed. Any help would be appreciated.

sorry to hear that, but i would not know. Never heard about such

effects. I once had a problem (similar?) with a plane i bought and

all the outside lights showed as black rectangles.

Could it be something like that with another addon you installed?

I suggest you put your question in a forum, maybe somebody can

help you out.

I habe another question about the 4x packs available on Simarket.

Are the continents included in each pack separate installers? Can I install just the continents I want or are they an all-in-one installer?

What I want is FScene texture on one or two continents, and other textures in other places, so that "my world" looks different in different places.

Can you please explain if the textures for FS9 included in the the 4X packs are NEW for FS9 or the original FS9 FScene textures.

from here i can't help you with the Flight1 system.

My advice: Buy FScene instead from one of the other online shops like SimMarket, FSPilotshop etc.

They all have the original FScene files.

[Uninstalling]

Hi All, I hope this forum is still alive...

I am very happy with Fscene, however, it is not compatible with African Airstrip Adventures (Aerosoft) and Flight 1's Ultimate terrain. Is it possible to uninstall the files. (I didnt back up the old files :/ )

FScene textures replace the defaults and act exactly like the defaults. So I see no problems here.

FScene will just make place for other add-ons where needed.

you will have to run the Microsoft Flight Simulator X "repair" function by using your FSX DVDs or you may have to re-install FSX using the FSX DVDs...that's the only way to do it correctly so that you can get your files back.

Landclass determines the positions of (among other things) the ground textures.

FScene delivers ground replacement textures.

Answer.: Yes, The way Flight Simulator handles Photographic scenery is different from the way it handles the normal ground terrain. With Photographic terrain Flight Simulator prevents the display of the normal ground textures and replaces them with individual photographic tiles. The same is true of the default Flight Simulator ground textures they are turned off in areas where Photographic scenery is in use. You can still install and use FScene4X even if you have photographic scenery for some areas. Outside the photographic areas the FScene textures will appear. Inside the photographic areas the new ground textures will not be visible.
