Hey Holger,
I'm posting this here because the official FSAddon Website is impossible to register for! I've tried twice to type in that blasted confirmation code and both times I got it wrong so many times that the system locked me out.
Anyhow, wanted to see if I could get some help on a strange, straight coastline in Tongass X. It seems to happen right at the cross over point from Tongass coverage area.
I also have UTX Alaska installed, with Tongass above it in the library and it happens if I have PNW disabled or enabled through FTX central.
My order # is 680636 from simmarket.

I can't tell you how happy I am that you are making updating Tongass Fjords a priority right now! It is the one scenery I truly miss from FSX.
-
Happy Holidays!
(I've been saying that since I could talk, so I don't see why it's anti-freedom now)

Francois, try dling the linked profile on page 1 of this thread - Vauchez_Flight. Copy the file into your naturalpoint profiles folder and you will then see a "Copy of Flight" profile to select. Only thing I edited was putting smoothness to 100. Check exclusive load box and give it a go. It is one of the best I have tried.
-
Well that was certainly a 180 from the previous page's post. Just couldn't get used to it? Are you using Vector Expansion?
-
Wow, I've owned TrackIR for years now but my settings never matched the fluidity of the one you linked David. Thanks a bunch, it's like a whole new experience. The only thing I changed was bumping the smoothness up to 100.

This fixed if for me. But it is with default aircraft, so I don't know if it will help you.

1) Yes, I'm very intrigued by your work! It looks great.
2) Sounds like you've thought of it all. I really like how you have it on a real sectional. I bought the real sectional and it helps, but without the MM and MF stuff on there, it is limiting.
Well done!

wow, you guys are good. That is a package I have installed in the last week or so. I got all his custom classic stuff once I heard they went freeware. I never thought that would be the culprit for causing a problem way up in Orcas.
I will search for that file and get rid of it. Thanks a bunch!
-
Hmm, could be. I definately have some of his stuff for Misty Fjords. Only thing convincing me otherwise is the schooner's I have seem him create are much better looking. :D Not sure what folder to go hunting for the ships in.

Chris, those are all Georender payware releases available from Simmarket.
-
I saw it on other sites besides the linked one. If you google "georender collection", a few sites come up.
I know that boxed software isn't Simmarket's main focus, but it could still be distributed as a grouped download. Either way, I just wanted you to be aware of this bundle so you can stay competitive :)
-
Thanks for the ideas.
Francois, thanks for the info on the mesh.
Also, is this package ligit?
http://www.sr71.biz/georender.htm
If so, why is it not available on Simmarket? I would like to give your site the business, but this package only costs $30, whereas on Simmarket it would run me almost $70 for these sceneries.
Anyhow, if forced to choose, would you other simmers agree that if I don't yet own the first three georenders, I would be better served getting this package of 3 older scenery? As opposed to picking up the newer Wenatchee/Skyomish?
-
Cheers, thanks for the tip with the vehicles. Am I right in assuming you can use these vehicles to "explore" the aerodromes?
As far as the distortion, I read that when in exterior view in activecam, the scenery doesn't refresh so you get anomalies. (not sure exactly what)
Oh, and guess I should explain that the holger mesh/landclass I mentioned is a washington, north cascades area file.
-
I'm looking for a freeware utility to explore these great Georender areas. I have Orcas, Emma and am planning on purchasing Wenatchee/Skyomish to compliment a new 182 RG! I'm hoping to be able "watch" the day go by and take screenshots from fresh perspectives at these airports.
I think there was even a jeep utility where you could cruise around the grounds was out. Even something like that would be good.
(I would get ActiveCam, but I read that even though payware, it distorts the scenery when you are using the exterior walk-about cam)
Thanks.
Edit: Also, does anyone know if us_wa_nc.zip, holgers mesh and landclass file, affects the Lake Wenatchee portion of georender negatively?

Great Pictures, great trip.
That looks like one well kept 206!
-
I hope there are more survivors then it looks. All this technology for weather avoidance, and we still fly right into it.

Edit: Further coverage is suggesting the landing was completed, then plane slid off runway and broke apart.
Wow, so far they are reporting everyone got out, even the pilots.
-
Vera nice repaint of the Seneca. I love the engine cowlings. We should start posting some picture threads of our FSE adventures.
-
Sounds great! :)
So it's possible to transfer money in my personal account to Emma personal account? Not that I have any, just didn't know that was possible. (EDIT: ok, found the pay group feature, neat) It's too bad we can't separate you as CFO and have just one person controlling the banking.
-
I'm in as well. Signed up as Valcor.
Quick question:
I know that if your rental expires, you lose the flight, but what about assignments? Say I select an assignment with one hour until expiration, but the flight will take longer? Do I have to complete the whole flight by expiration or just start it?
-
Wow, I just spent a half hour reading that whole website and it seems great. I would definitely be in for this once I figure it out. I would love to be a part of a "flight group" for Emmaites.
I know nothing of this program yet, but it sounds like a "hub" out of Emma would not be profitable because it is small and an add-on fictious strip? If not, we could pick another in that area (KORS would be great).

Wow, heck of a busy place for a first solo! Should have headed out to West Opa Locka, lol. I've flown around only a bit of fixed wing down here for leisure, did my primary training at Brandywine N99 outside Philadelphia.
I have, however, gotten my helicopter private, instrument, commercial and close to a CFI/I out of FXE. So I hear ya on the boring holes part :) Awful flat, but the skies certainly make up for it!
