Hi,

I have the registered version. I do not understand how to program a joystick button from the button tab. I'm attempting to do it the same as FS9. However, every time I push a button on the joystick (CH Yoke) I get a message "Conditions are attached must programed in FSUIPC.ini" or something close.

All I want to do is assign a joystick button to "shift 3" for the GPS. I read the advanced documentation. Do I have to manually program that now? If so, what is the tab for? Thanks.

RE: PFC DLL

I cannot get the PFC throttle quadrant mixture or prop axis to move the aircraft axis. The throttle axis works fine. Both mixture and prop respond in the "Quadrant" tab of the PFC menu, however, when I return to the sim, neither will move in response to lever motion.

The 2 engine jet quadrant works fine. Bug? Or operator error. Thanks.

Hi Bob,

I'm having the same problem with programming the controller buttons. Having said that though, I haven't read the manual completely yet. If you haven't either, I'd suggest starting there. Pete is nothing if not thorough when it comes to documentation, and nine times out of ten, problems are a failure to read about and comprehend the features offered. I'll look over my manual as well and then we can race to see who posts the solution first! ;-)

Bug reported, found and fixed yesterday. Please download and install FSUIPC 4.01.

Hi Bill,

It was a bug -- oddly not affecting any of the test versions, only the release build (which of course has less diagnostic information in it).

It was fixed yesterday and put up here as 4.01 and also on the http://www.schiratti.com/dowson page.

Incidentally, all of the Buttons, Keys, Axes and JoystickCalibration sections of the INI file are deliberately identical to those for FSUIPC 3, so if you have stuff working with FS2004 you can simply cut and paste those over into FSUIPC4.INI.

RE: PFC DLL

Do you really mean PFC.DLL -- on FS2004? Or are you still talking FSX and therefore PFCFSX.DLL?

If the latter, please re-test with FSUIPC4 version 4.01.

You know you can copy over your FS2004 version of PFC.INI into the FSX Modules folder and re-name it PFCFSX.INI, don't you? Then everything should be the same.

But please use FSUIPC 4.01, and keep an eye out for further updates. They are bound to be quite frequent in the early days of FSX -- after all I've only had the Release build of FSX for a little over a week myself!

Regards,

Pete
